Functions of delay-period activity in the prefrontal cortex and mnemonic scotomas revisited
Working memory is one of key concepts to understand functions of the prefrontal cortex. Delay-period activity is an important neural correlate to understand the role of working memory in prefrontal functions.

Designed Biomaterial‐Enhanced Cell Transplantation for Neural Tissue Engineering
Biomaterials offer a promising solution for cell transplantation in the central nervous system by creating a protective environment that enhances cell survival, integration, and functional recovery in preclinical models of neurological disorders. ABSTRACT Cell transplantation therapy in the central nervous system is hindered by limited survival and ...

The topology of connections between rat prefrontal and temporal cortices [PDF]
Understanding the structural organization of the prefrontal cortex (PFC) is an important step toward determining its functional organization. Here we investigated the organization of PFC using different neuronal tracers.

The role of prefrontal cortex in psychopathy [PDF]
Psychopathy is a personality disorder characterized by remorseless and impulsive antisocial behavior. Given the significant societal costs of the recidivistic criminal acti\xadvity associated with the disorder, there is a pressing need for more effective treatment strategies and, hence, a better understanding of the psychobiological mechanisms ...

Prefrontal Cortex Motivated Cognitive Architecture for Multiple Robots [PDF]
In this paper, we introduce a cerebral cortex inspired architecture for robots in which we have mapped hierarchical cortical representation of human brain to logic flow and decision making process. Our work focuses on the two major features of human cognitive process, viz.

ABSTRACT A significant proportion of young people exiting Out‐of‐Home Care (OOHC) encounter substantial challenges in securing housing, often leading to homelessness within a few months after leaving care. All Australian jurisdictions have now approved extended care programs up to 21 years; however, none of them currently offer these young people ...

Detecting Resting-state Neural Connectivity Using Dynamic Network Analysis on Multiband fMRI Data [PDF]
This paper describes an approach of using dynamic Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) analysis to estimate the connectivity networks from resting-state fMRI data measured by a multiband EPI sequence. Two structural equation models were estimated at each voxel with respect to the sensory-motor network and default-mode network.
