Peak expiratory flow rate in normal pregnancy

To determine whether peak expiratory flow rate changes with pregnancy and advancing gestation.We measured the peak expiratory flow rate in 57 women during each trimester of pregnancy and postpartum. During four visits, all subjects exhaled forcefully three times into a peak flow meter.

Pregnancy loss rate in equine uterine body pregnancies

There is scant information on the outcome of uterine body pregnancies in the mare, but anecdotal evidence indicates that most result in abortion. In a retrospective study of 3527 pathology records from the Livestock Disease and Diagnostic Center, University of Kentucky, 10 aborted fetuses were associated with body pregnancies.

Summary. Rates of ectopic pregnancy have been increasing in the developed world in recent decades. The cause of this increase is not established. There is evidence that women with ectopic pregnancies have low oestrogen levels and that tubal contractions are under oestrogenic control. Low diets and vigorous exercise both lower women's oestrogen levels.
