Disaster Relief Through a Complex Adaptive System Perspective: Firms' Motivations, Activities, and the Role of Operations Adaptability in Overlapping Landscapes

open access: yesJournal of Business Logistics, Volume 47, Issue 4, October 2026.
ABSTRACT Natural disasters disrupt the normal functioning of both communities and businesses. However, past literature often segregates the disaster relief view from the business continuity perspective, leaving a gap in understanding how firms can proactively support relief efforts.

Toward Metabolomics Analyses With Combined Capillary Vibrating Sharp‐Edge Spray Ionization and Atmospheric Pressure Chemical Ionization

open access: yesRapid Communications in Mass Spectrometry, Volume 40, Issue 17, 15 September 2026.
ABSTRACT Rationale The varied properties of metabolomics components dictate the tools used in mass spectrometry (MS) characterization including the selection of the ionization source. However, the ionization of select compounds limits characterization efficiency.

Modeling of Diamond Trench Metal Oxide Semiconductor Barrier Schottky Rectifier Based on Dynamic Reverse Bias Simulation Framework

open access: yesphysica status solidi (a), Volume 223, Issue 17, 9 September 2026.
Time‐resolved mixed‐mode technology computer aided design simulations reveal that the transient ionization response of deep boron acceptors fundamentally modifies the charge‐sharing mechanism in diamond TMBS rectifiers. Consequently, the optimum trench geometry under dynamic reverse‐bias conditions differs significantly from conventional quasi‐static ...

Oxygels: Tunable Phosphorescent Hydrogels for Cherenkov‐Excited Luminescence Imaging (CELI) of Oxygen

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, Volume 15, Issue 34, 11 September 2026.
Biocompatible hydrogels with covalently embedded near‐infrared phosphorescent probes enable local tissue pO2 quantification by means of Cherenkov‐excited luminescence imaging (CELI), where optical excitation occurs within tissues upon irradiation with high‐energy electron beams.

Enhanced Photostability and Reduced Burn‐In Losses in Organic Solar Cells via a 2PACz‐Modified PEDOT:PSS Hole Transport Layer

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, Volume 13, Issue 17, 8 September 2026.
A PEDOT:PSS/2PACz hole transport layer reduces burn‐in degradation and enhances the photostability of organic solar cells. The interfacial modification with 2PACz mitigates photo‐induced interfacial disorder, enabling stable power conversion efficiencies under continuous illumination for over 650 h.
