This study presents a compact dynamic‐field‐driven nucleation and growth (DFNG) model that captures ferroelectric switching behavior under arbitrary voltage waveforms. It enables extraction of time‐dependent domain wall velocity and growth dimensionality, which can then be extended to device‐level modeling.

Transducers convert physical signals into electrical and optical representations, yet each mechanism is bounded by intrinsic trade‐offs across bandwidth, sensitivity, speed, and energy. This review maps transduction mechanisms across physical scale and frequency, showing how heterogeneous integration and multiphysics co‐design transform isolated ...

From loci to critical questions: an AMT approach to argument evaluation. Insights from the domain of corporate controversies [PDF]
In this paper, I propose a method for determining and formulating critical questions based on the Argumentum Model of Topics (AMT). Following AMT, an argumentative inference includes a topical dimension, based on loci and maxims, and a contextual ...

Operational risk management of bulk carriers
The proposed study had been performed behind the premise of proposing a methodology for estimating the current operational risk of bulk carriers. Hence, a high level risk assessment has been conducted for evaluating the safety performance of dry bulk ...

ABSTRACT Real‐time insight into local chemistry is critical for reliable part quality in additive manufacturing, especially laser powder bed fusion (PBF‑LB/M), where rapid thermal cycles and localized evaporation can undermine part performance. Optical emission spectroscopy (OES) offers non‑intrusive, in situ plume monitoring, but detection geometry ...

Champions for Life InterACTIVE Stories, Little Champions: An Acceptability Study
Physical activity is important for developing children’s skills and supporting overall well-being (Lee et al., 2020). However, Canada’s ParticipACTION found only 62% of young children meet the national physical activity recommendations, and 38% of ...

A custom shape memory polymer material selection process relates quantitative application criteria (e.g., compression garment yarns) to material characterization information. The selected materials are manufactured into yarn geometries, which expand the design space by creating structural stress‐strain profiles beyond the nominal material stress‐strain

Driver Acceptance of False Alarms to Simulated Encroachment
Objective: We investigated driver acceptance of alerts to left-turn encroachment incidents that do not produce a crash. If an event that produces a crash is the criterion for a “true” alert, all the alerts we studied are technically false alarms.
