Further prenylflavonoids from Artocarpus elasticus

Phytochemistry, 1998
Abstract Further study of one of the fractions from the wood of Artocarpus elasticus gave two prenylated flavones artelastinin and artelastofuran in addition to artelasticin and cyclocommunin. Structures were elucidated by spectroscopic techniques.

Antinephritis and radical scavenging activity of prenylflavonoids

Fitoterapia, 2003
Antinephritis activity of 5 prenylflavonoids similar to glabridin (1-5), isolated from Morus alba, Artocarpus communis, Glycyrrhiza uralensis and G. inflata, was evaluated in mice with glomerular disease (Masugi-nephritis). Oral administrations of artonin E (2) or licochalcone A (4) for 10 days (30 mg kg(-1) day(-1)) reduced the amount of urinary ...

Prenylflavonoids from propolis collected in Chiang Mai, Thailand

Phytochemistry Letters, 2021
Abstract Three new prenylflavonoids, 3-hydroxy-5′-methoxy-licoflavanone (12), 3′-hydroxy-5′-methoxy-glabranin (13), and 5′-methoxy-lespedezaflavanone C (17) were isolated for the first time from propolis collected from Chiang Mai in northern Thailand. The structures of the new compounds were determined by MS and NMR spectroscopy.

Two new prenylflavonoids from Epimedium sutchuenense

Chinese Chemical Letters, 2009
Two new prenylflavonoids, named sutchuenmedin A (1) and sutchuenmedin B (2), were isolated from the 70% EtOH extract of Epimedium sutchuenense. Their structures were determined from spectral analysis.

Prenylflavonoids and Phloroglucinol Derivatives from Hops (Humulus lupulus)

Journal of Natural Products, 2004
The ethyl acetate soluble fraction of hops (Humulus lupulus) showed potent inhibitory activity on the production of nitric oxide (NO) induced by a combination of LPS and IFN-gamma. Four known prenylflavonoids (1-4) and a new prenylflavonoid (5), hulupinic acid (6), lupulone (7), and its six new derivatives (8-13) were isolated from the active fraction.

Two new prenylflavonoids from Morus nigra L.

Chinese Chemical Letters, 2009
Abstract Two new prenylflavonoids, mornigrol E(1) and mornigrol F(2) were isolated from Morus nigra L. Their structures were elucidated on the basis of spectroscopic methods, especially 2D-NMR techniques.

Fate of Xanthohumol and Related Prenylflavonoids from Hops to Beer

Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry, 1999
The fate of three prenylated flavonoids of the chalcone type, xanthohumol, desmethylxanthohumol, and 3'-geranylchalconaringenin, was monitored with LC/MS-MS from hops (Humulus lupulus L.) to beer in two brewing trials. The three prenylchalcones were largely converted into their isomeric flavanones, isoxanthohumol, prenylnaringenins, and ...

Prenylflavonoids as Nonsteroidal Phytoestrogens and Related Structure–Activity Relationships

ChemMedChem, 2006
AbstractIn the search for estrogen receptor (ER) modulators, a series of prenylflavonoids were found to be widely distributed amongst tonic herbal medicines and to possess estrogen‐like activity in MCF‐7/BOS cells, as evaluated by an estrogen‐screening assay.

Prenylflavonoids and prenyl/alkyl-phloroacetophenones: Synthesis and antitumour biological evaluation☆

European Journal of Medicinal Chemistry, 2010
Several prenylflavonoids have been synthesised and tested against human tumour cell lines. The prenyl unit has been geranyl or a labdane diterpene. These labdane-flavonoids have been synthesised for the first time. The antitumour activity increase with the prenylation at C-8 position.

Prenylflavonoids and a pyranodihydrobenzoxanthone from Artocarpus communis

Phytochemistry, 1991
Abstract From the root bark of Artocarpus communis, two new prenylflavonoids, cycloartomunin and dihydrocycloartomunin, and a new pyranodihydrobenzoxanthone, cycloartomunoxanthone, were isolated and characterized.
