Scatter factor : molecular characteristics and effect on the invasiveness of epithelial cells [PDF]

open access: yes, 1990
The generation of invasiveness in transformed cells represents an essential step of tumor progression. We have previously shown that MDCK epithelial cells, which are deprived of intracellular adhesion by the addition of anti-Arc-1/uvomorulin antibodies ...

Therapeutic strategies for MMAE‐resistant bladder cancer through DPP4 inhibition

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We established monomethyl auristatin E (MMAE)‐resistant bladder cancer (BC) cell lines by exposure to progressively increasing concentrations of MMAE in vitro. RNA sequencing showed DPP4 expression was increased in MMAE‐resistant BC cells. Both si‐DPP4 and the DPP4 inhibitor sitagliptin suppressed the viability of MMAE‐resistant BC cells.

Cromatografia de troca-iônica aplicada ao isolamento da fração ácida do óleo de copaíba (Copaifera multijuga) e da sacaca (Croton cajucara) Ion exchange chromatography applied to the fractionation of the copaíba oil (Copaifera multijuga) and sacaca (Croton cajucara) extracts

open access: yesQuímica Nova, 2005
Plant extracts are usually complex mixtures which contain several molecules of different sizes with varied functional groups. Such extracts are a challenge to the chemist of natural products.

Exploring the Lewis basicity of the metalloligand [Pt₂(μ-Se)₂(PPh₃)₄] on metal substrates by electrospray mass spectrometry. Synthesis, characterization and structural studies of new platinum selenido phosphine complexes containing the {Pt₂Se₂} core [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
Electrospray Mass Spectrometry (ESMS) has been used as a tool to probe the reactivity of the metalloligand [Pt₂(μ-Se)₂(PPh₃)₄] with metal substrates, which lead to the formation of charged coordination complexes via loss of halides or other labile ...

Infrared laser sampling of low volumes combined with shotgun lipidomics reveals lipid markers in palatine tonsil carcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Nanosecond infrared laser (NIRL) low‐volume sampling combined with shotgun lipidomics uncovers distinct lipidome alterations in oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma (OPSCC) of the palatine tonsil. Several lipid species consistently differentiate tumor from healthy tissue, highlighting their potential as diagnostic markers.

Recurrent cancer‐associated ERBB4 mutations are transforming and confer resistance to targeted therapies

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We show that the majority of the 18 analyzed recurrent cancer‐associated ERBB4 mutations are transforming. The most potent mutations are activating, co‐operate with other ERBB receptors, and are sensitive to pan‐ERBB inhibitors. Activating ERBB4 mutations also promote therapy resistance in EGFR‐mutant lung cancer.

Prostaglandins and related factors: XIX. Thin-layer chromatography of prostaglandins

open access: yesJournal of Lipid Research, 1964
Methods are described for separation of all known prostaglandins and some derivatives as free acids and methyl esters by thin-layer chromatography both on analytical and preparative scales. The use of silica gel containing silver nitrate was required for
