Phase separation in frozen erythrocyte membrane preparations
Journal of Microscopy, 1985SUMMARYThe reversible formation of a lipid‐like phase in frozen preparations of erythrocyte membranes has been studied by X‐ray diffraction and by electron microscopy of freeze‐fracture replicas. The observations provide strong evidence for lateral migration or displacement at specific temperatures of intra‐membrane particles.

Optimizing slurry separation in coal preparation
Coke and Chemistry, 2009In processing slurry with cationic polyelectrolytes, the final concentration of the suspended particulates in the water beyond the slurry tank in the coal-preparation shop is no more than 10 mg/l. Consequently, this water may be reused in industrial systems.
