Interpreting the effects of DNA polymerase variants at the structural level
Using MAVISp and molecular dynamics simulations, we analyzed over 60 000 missense variants in POLE and POLD1 from ClinVar, COSMIC, cBioPortal, and saturation mutagenesis. Identified mechanistic indicators, including stability, binding, and long‐range, enable structural interpretation, providing ACMG‐like evidence for possible reclassification of VUS ...

Analytical and Numerical Contact Stress Analysis of Spur Gears
The damage that occurs on the teeth flank of cylindrical gears is a complex phenomenon and depends on many factors. The most common cause for these damages is the high contact stress of the meshing gears.

Drug resistance limits treatment success in a subset of lung cancers driven by ROS1 gene alterations. Using patient‐derived cells and computer simulations, we studied three key mutations and how they affect five targeted drugs. The mutations reduced drug effectiveness in different ways by altering protein structure and behavior.

Impact of Phacoemulsification Surgery on Intraocular Pressure in Primary Angle-Closure Glaucoma
Pur po se: To investigate whether primary phacoemulsification in acute primary angle closure glaucoma (APACG) and chronic primary angle closure glaucoma (CPACG) will lower intraocular pressure (IOP) or not.

Time‐resolved X‐ray solution scattering captures how proteins change shape in real time under near‐native conditions. This article presents a practical workflow for light‐triggered TR‐XSS experiments, from data collection to structural refinement. Using a calcium‐transporting membrane protein as an example, the approach can be broadly applied to study ...

Systemic medications and other risk factors of open-angle glaucoma [PDF]
Het onderzoek in dit proefschrift is ontworpen om de werking van sommige systemische geneesmiddelen te ontcijferen en een aantal andere risicofactoren van open-kamerhoek glaucoom (OKG) te onderzoeken.

GWAS-by-subtraction reveals an IOP-independent component of primary open angle glaucoma
The etiology of primary open angle glaucoma is constituted by both intraocular pressure-dependent and intraocular pressure-independent mechanisms.
