Precision grinding of cemented carbide ball valves by resin diamond wheels with different pore-forming agents

open access: yesJin'gangshi yu moliao moju gongcheng
To improve the machining effect of cemented carbide ball valves, pore-forming agents were introduced into resin diamond wheels. The mechanical properties, microstructures, and grinding performances of the wheels were analyzed, and the effects of hollow ...

Engineered extracellular vesicles enriched with the miR‐214/199a cluster enhance the efficacy of chemotherapy in ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Loss of the miR‐214/199a cluster is associated with recurrence in ovarian cancer. Engineered small extracellular vesicles (m214‐sEVs) elevate miR‐214‐3p/miR‐199a‐5p in tumor cells, suppress β‐catenin, TLR4, and YKT6 signaling, reprogram tumor‐derived sEV cargo, reduce chemoresistance and migration, and enhance carboplatin efficacy and survival in ...

Experimental Verification of a Two-Motor-Two-Pump Motor-Controlled Hydraulic Cylinder with Throttle-Free Passive Load-Holding Capability in Four-Quadrant Operations

open access: yesActuators
Among various motor-controlled hydraulic cylinder (MCC) topologies, the two-motor-two-pump (2M2P) MCC distinguishes itself through several notable advantages, including precise cylinder pressure control and eliminating mode switch oscillations ...

Keratin 19 as a prognostic marker and contributing factor of metastasis and chemoresistance in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.

Pressure Control for a Hydraulic Cylinder Based on a Self-Tuning PID Controller Optimized by a Hybrid Optimization Algorithm

open access: yesAlgorithms, 2017
In order to improve the performance of the hydraulic support electro-hydraulic control system test platform, a self-tuning proportion integration differentiation (PID) controller is proposed to imitate the actual pressure of the hydraulic support.

Perioperative Blood Pressure Control in Pheochromocytoma: The Role of Intravenous Urapidil

open access: yes
Pheochromocytomas are rare tumors derived from chromaffin cells of neural crest origin in the adrenal medulla. These neoplasms typically synthesize and secrete catecholamines. Excessive secretion of catecholamines can lead to severe and potentially fatal

Somatic mutational landscape in von Hippel–Lindau familial hemangioblastoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The causes of central nervous system (CNS) hemangioblastoma in Von Hippel–Lindau (vHL) disease are unclear. We used Whole Exome Sequencing (WES) on familial hemangioblastoma to investigate events that underlie tumor development. Our findings suggest that VHL loss creates a permissive environment for tumor formation, while additional alterations ...

Fuzzy-Type Fast Terminal Sliding-Mode Controller for Pressure Control of Pilot Solenoid Valve in Automatic Transmission

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
The performance of the pilot solenoid valve (PSV) has a significant impact on the efficiency and service life of an automatic transmission (AT) in automobiles, and it is very difficult to achieve a perfect pressure tracking performance due to the ...

Hippo pathway at the crossroads of stemness and therapeutic resistance in breast cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dysregulation of the Hippo pathway drives nuclear accumulation of YAP/TAZ, activating stemness‐related transcriptional programs that sustain breast cancer stemness and fuel therapeutic resistance across subtypes, underscoring Hippo signaling as a targetable vulnerability. Figure created and edited with BioRender.com.

A feasibility study of solar radiation pressure feedback control strategy for unstable periodic orbits in the restricted three-body problem

open access: yes, 2014
This paper investigates a Hamiltonian structure preserving control strategy that uses, where possible, solar radiation pressure as an alternative propellant-free control acceleration.
