CLINICAL EVALUATION OF PRESSURE SUPPORT VENTILATION
A 5-year-old child required a prolonged period of ventilatory assistance, provided in the form of pressure support ventilation. There was a significant negative correlation between the level of pressure support and the PaCO2. Requirements for sedation were reduced with pressure support compared with conventional controlled ventilation.

A general fabricating strategy for arbitrary 3D organic mixed ionic‐electronic conductor architectures is reported using PEDOT:PSS microfiber building blocks. A water‐assisted self‐fusion process is successfully developed in which adhesion can be modulated as reversible (PSS‐rich) or irreversible (PEDOT‐rich) self‐fusion depending on the post‐treatment

Noninvasive vs invasive respiratory support for patients with acute hypoxemic respiratory failure.
BackgroundNoninvasive respiratory support modalities are common alternatives to mechanical ventilation in acute hypoxemic respiratory failure. However, studies historically compare noninvasive respiratory support to conventional oxygen rather than ...

This study introduces a novel metamaterial absorber integrating water as a lossy medium with patterned indium tin oxide (ITO) films to achieve simultaneous optical transparency and ultra‐wideband electromagnetic absorption over 0.52‐40 GHz. It effectively overcomes the limitations of conventional opaque and bulky shielding materials, offering a ...
