Development and validation of an instrument to assess Brazilians' knowledge, perceptions, and behaviors toward salt and sodium. [PDF]
Abstract This study aimed to develop and validate an instrument to assess Brazilian adults’ knowledge, perceptions, and behaviors (KPB) toward salt and sodium. Based on a PAHO/WHO questionnaire, a new instrument was developed and evaluated by 11 experts, generating item and scale‐level content validity indexes (I‐CVI and S‐CVI, respectively).

Pathogens can exert selective pressures on the scheduling of reproduction. The smaller size of harlequin toads from populations long exposed to the lethal fungal disease chytridiomycosis suggests that toads from post‐epidemic populations are breeding earlier.

Abstract The Panel on Food Additives and Nutrient Sources added to Food (ANS) provided a scientific opinion re‐evaluating the safety of potassium nitrite (E 249) and sodium nitrite (E 250) when used as food additives. The ADIs established by the SCF () and by JECFA () for nitrite were 0–0.06 and 0–0.07 mg/kg bw per day, respectively.
