The anti‐CRISPR protein AcrIE8.1 inhibits the type I‐E CRISPR‐Cas system by directly binding to the Cascade subunit Cas11

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In this study, we present the structure of AcrIE8.1, a previously uncharacterized anti‐CRISPR protein that inhibits the type I‐E CRISPR‐Cas system. Through a combination of structural and biochemical analyses, we demonstrate that AcrIE8.1 directly binds to the Cas11 subunit of the Cascade complex to inhibit the CRISPR‐Cas system.

Condition-based maintenance at both scheduled and unscheduled opportunities [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Motivated by original equipment manufacturer (OEM) service and maintenance practices we consider a single component subject to replacements at failure instances and two types of preventive maintenance opportunities: scheduled, which occur due to periodic

Model Penjadwalan Pemeliharaan Preventif Mesin-Mesin Produksi untuk Meminimasi Total Tardiness

open access: yesInvotek: Jurnal Inovasi Vokasional dan Teknologi, 2020
Preventive maintenance is considered as a method to avoid unexpected failure in production machines. Unfortunately, conducting such maintenance is limited by resources availability thus likely causes tardiness.

A Cre‐dependent lentiviral vector for neuron subtype‐specific expression of large proteins

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We designed a versatile and modular lentivector comprising a Cre‐dependent switch and self‐cleaving 2A peptide and tested it for co‐expression of GFP and a 2.8 kb gene of interest (GOI) in mouse cortical parvalbumin (PV+) interneurons and midbrain dopamine (TH+) neurons.

Study of Using Weighting Property Index for Selecting the Best Maintenance Management System (MMS) at Power Plants

open access: yesDiyala Journal of Engineering Sciences, 2018
To make Power Plants (PPs) economical, the maintenance functions should be optimized by carefully selecting and planning the Maintenance Management System (MMS) that will address the maintenance needs of the plant at the least cost.

DETERMINATION OF THE OPTIMAL VEHICLE MAINTENANCE STRATEGY AS ONE OF THE CONDITIONS OF IMPROVING THE SAFETY OF TRAFFIC [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings on Engineering Sciences, 2019
Two types of preventive maintenance are mostly used. First is preventive maintenance based on reliability information (on empirically defined distribution of possibility of work time until breakdown). By application of this type of preventive maintenance,

By dawn or dusk—how circadian timing rewrites bacterial infection outcomes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The circadian clock shapes immune function, yet its influence on infection outcomes is only beginning to be understood. This review highlights how circadian timing alters host responses to the bacterial pathogens Salmonella enterica, Listeria monocytogenes, and Streptococcus pneumoniae revealing that the effectiveness of immune defense depends not only

Investigation of Maintenance Methods

open access: yesDüzce University Faculty of Forestry Journal of Forestry, 2008
Cleaning, lubrication, overhaul, calibration and experiments conducted bymaintenance personnel make up maintenance tasks. It is essential that an activemaintenance planning be implemented in order that production functions could carry onuninterruptedly ...
