, 2023 Inspired by classic work of Wallman and more recent work of Jung-Kegelmann-Moshier and Vickers, we show how to encode general subbases of stably locally compact spaces via certain entailment relations.

Timing Matters: Rethinking How we Define the Water Year
Hydrological Processes, Volume 40, Issue 6, June 2026.For annual hydrological analyses, the start of the water year must be defined. Using a modelling approach, we identify the day of the year with the smallest variation in simulated catchment storage. The results indicate that these dates often differ from the official start of the water year.
