Preventative care in cholestatic liver disease: Pearls for the specialist and subspecialist
Cholestatic liver diseases (CLDs) encompass a variety of disorders of abnormal bile formation and/or flow. CLDs often lead to progressive hepatic insult and injury and following the development of cirrhosis and associated complications.

Nuclear Factor I‐B Delays Liver Fibrosis by Inhibiting Chemokine Ligand 5 Transcription
This study identifies the transcription factor Nuclear Factor I‐B (NFIB) as a key suppressor of liver fibrosis. NFIB expression declines during hepatic stellate cell activation, and its overexpression reduces fibrosis in mice models. The mechanism involves NFIB directly repressing chemokine C─C motif ligand 5 (CCL5), thereby alleviating oxidative ...

Antibodies to Cardiolipin in Patients with Primary Biliary Cirrhosis
Antibodies to cardiolipin have been recognized in up to 65% of patients with systemic lupus erythematosus. It has been claimed that they are significantly associated with intravascular thrombosis and with obstetrical complications.

Schematic illustration demonstrating that hepatic Mettl3 depletion significantly elevates the secretion of Mif and Csf1. This elevation facilitates Trem2+ macrophage infiltration and triggers cholangiocyte remodeling through the Spp1‐Cd44 interaction, resulting in spontaneous PSC development in vivo.

Netrin‐1 expression is upregulated in hepatic stellate cells (HSCs) during metabolic dysfunction–associated steatohepatitis and injury‐mediated liver fibrosis. Secreted Netrin‐1 establishes an autocrine positive feedback loop by binding to UNC5B receptors on HSCs.

Donor‐derived tdTomato+ mature hepatocytes were FACS‐isolated and transplanted into Fah−/− host mice. During regeneration, these cells convert into proliferative, unipotent Afp+ rHeps. Their plasticity is governed by a PPARγ/AFP‐dependent metabolic switch, segregating into pro‐proliferative Afplow and pro‐survival Afphigh subpopulations.

Risk and Surveillance of Cancers in Primary Biliary Tract Disease
Primary biliary diseases have been associated in several studies with various malignancies. Understanding the risk and optimizing surveillance strategy of these malignancies in this specific subset of patients are an important facet of clinical care. For
