A Return to Normality: A Descriptive Qualitative Interview Study Exploring the Patient Experience of Gout Flare Resolution

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
Objective Although the definition of a gout flare is well established, the state of gout flare resolution has not yet been defined. This study aimed to explore patients’ experiences and perceptions of gout flare resolution. Methods Semistructured interviews were conducted with 24 people with gout, guided by open‐ended questions exploring their ...

Mechanochemical Synthesis and Characterization of Nanostructured ErB4 and NdB4 Rare‐Earth Tetraborides

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, Volume 27, Issue 6, March 2025.
ErB4 and NdB4 nanostructured powders are produced by mechanochemical synthesis. 5 h mechanical alloying and 4 M HCl acid leaching are used in the production. ErB4 and NdB4 powders exhibit maximum magnetization of 0.4726 emu g−1 accompanied with an antiferromagnetic‐to‐paramagnetic phase transition at about TN = 18 K and 0.132 emu g−1 with a maximum at ...

Revisiting Stability Criteria in Ball‐Milled High‐Entropy Alloys: Do Hume–Rothery and Thermodynamic Rules Equally Apply?

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, Volume 27, Issue 6, March 2025.
The stability criteria affecting the formation of high‐entropy alloys, particularly focusing in supersaturated solid solutions produced by mechanical alloying, are analyzed. Criteria based on Hume–Rothery rules are distinguished from those derived from thermodynamic relations. The formers are generally applicable to mechanically alloyed samples.

Finitely generated powers of prime ideals

open access: yes, 2016
Let R be a commutative ring. If P is a maximal ideal of R whose a power is finitely generated then we prove that P is finitely generated if R is either locally coherent or arithmetical or a polynomial ring over a ring of global dimension $\le$ 2.

Carboxylic‐Acid Functionalized Multiwalled Carbon Nanotube‐Alkane‐Based Resistive Temperature Sensor for Cold Chain Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This study presents a reversible temperature sensor with high switching ratio, ∼103. The device is fabricated using PET‐ITO and carbon nanotube dispersions in alkane. Considering its application in cold chain logistics, a proof‐of‐concept with LED is showcased. Thus, a temperature drop below the threshold temperature (crystallization temperature of the

On f - prime radical in ordered semigroups

open access: yesOpen Mathematics, 2018
In this paper, we introduce the concepts of f-prime ideals, f-semiprime ideals and f-prime radicals in ordered semigroups. Furthermore, some results on f-prime radicals and f-primary decomposition of an ideal in an ordered semigroup are obtained.

A covering condition for prime ideals [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the American Mathematical Society, 1971
Commutative rings are studied which have the property that every ideal contained in the union of a collection of prime ideals is contained in one of the prime ideals of the collection. This property is shown to be equivalent to the condition that every prime ideal is the radical of a principal ideal.

Harnessing Fungal Biowelding for Constructing Mycelium‐Engineered Materials

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, Volume 28, Issue 11, 3 June 2026.
Mycelium‐bound composites (MBCs) offer low‐carbon alternatives for construction, yet interfacial bonding remains a critical challenge. This review examines fungal biowelding as a biocompatible adhesive, elucidating mycelium‐mediated interfacial mechanisms and their role in material assembly. Strategies to optimize biowelding are discussed, highlighting

Maximal Ideal and Prime Ideal in an $L$-Lattice

open access: yesFuzzy Information and Engineering
In this paper, the notions of an L-sublattice, L-ideal, and L-dual ideal of an L-lattice are introduced. The concepts of an L-maximal ideal and an L-prime ideal in an L-lattice are also defined. The present paper also gives the precise structures of an L-sublattice, L-ideal (dual ideal) generated by an L-subset of an L-lattice.
