In honeycomb multilayers with staggered AB-sublattice potentials, we predict gapless edge states localized to either of the odd and the even layers for the AA $$^{\prime }$$ ′ stacking order in which the sublattice-pseudospin polarizations of adjacent ...

Zariski topology on the spectrum of fuzzy classical primary submodules
Let R be a commutative ring with identity and M a unitary R-module. The fuzzy classical primary spectrum F cp.spec(M) is the collection of all fuzzy classical primary submodules A of M, the recent generalization of fuzzy primary ideals and fuzzy ...

The prime spectrum of solenoidal manifolds
A solenoidal manifold is the inverse limit space of a tower of proper coverings of a compact manifold. In this work, we introduce new invariants for solenoidal manifolds, their asymptotic Steinitz orders and their prime spectra, and show they are invariants of the homeomorphism type.

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.

The Ile181Asn variant of human UDP‐xylose synthase (hUXS1), associated with a short‐stature genetic syndrome, has previously been reported as inactive. Our findings demonstrate that Ile181Asn‐hUXS1 retains catalytic activity similar to the wild‐type but exhibits reduced stability, a looser oligomeric state, and an increased tendency to precipitate ...

Let R be a G-graded ring and M be a G-graded R-module. We define the graded primary spectrum of M, denoted by PSG(M), to be the set of all graded primary submodules Q of M such that (GrM(Q) :RM) = Gr((Q:RM)). In this paper, we define a topology on PSG(M)

We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

When Are Prime Formulae Characteristic? [PDF]
In the setting of the modal logic that characterizes modal refinement over modal transition systems, Boudol and Larsen showed that the formulae for which model checking can be reduced to preorder checking, that is, the characteristic formulae, are ...
