A Hybrid Character Recognition Approach Using Fuzzy Logic and Stroke Bayesian Program Learning With Naïve Bayes in Industrial Environments

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
Automated character recognition is critical for reading and tracking data in a variety of fields. It is particularly challenging in industrial settings since information may be printed on the surface of various materials with complex and uneven shapes ...

The ambivalence of colonial discourse: Waiting for the barbarians in the gaze of the other [PDF]

open access: yesGlasnik Etnografskog Instituta SANU, 2015
In this paper J. M. Coetzee’s novel Waiting for the Barbarians is seen as fundamentally disrupting the binary logic that underpins colonial discourse.

Resolving the Cu(bdc) Conundrum: Identifying Non‐Porous Packing of Prototypical Coordination‐Network Thin Films Combining Advanced Diffraction Techniques and Computational Modelling

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Solution‐processed Cu(bdc) forms prototypical MOF thin films for which a multitude of not fully satisfactory structural models have been suggested. Combining rotating grazing‐incidence diffraction and X‐ray reflectivity on two complementary samples with density‐functional theory, we first discard the previously suggested models and then identify a non ...

Evolutionary constraints in hind wing shape in Chinese dung beetles (Coleoptera: Scarabaeinae). [PDF]

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2011
This study examines the evolution hindwing shape in Chinese dung beetle species using morphometric and phylogenetic analyses. Previous studies have analyzed the evolution of wing shape within a single or very few species, or by comparing only a few wing ...

Controlled Engineering of 2D Alkali‐Iron‐Chloride Compounds and Lateral Quantum Heterostructures Within Confined Graphene Nanoreactors

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This work presents a programmable atomic engineering strategy for 2D materials using Å‐scale nanoreactors formed by bilayer graphene (BLG) intercalation. A new class of alkali‐iron‐chloride compounds, along with lateral heterostructures composed of monolayer alkali halides and iron chlorides, is revealed.

Primitive characters of subgroups ofM-groups

open access: yesMathematische Zeitschrift, 1995
If \(G\) is a monomial group, it has been conjectured that Hall subgroups of \(G\) are monomial. Recently, some idea is taking form: perhaps, even the Hall subgroup normalizers are monomial. Toward this stronger result we prove that the irreducible primitive characters of Hall subgroup normalizers of M-groups are linear. One of the reasons why M-groups

Critical L-values of Primitive Forms Twisted by Dirichlet Characters [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
Let f be a primitive form of weight k > 1 with nebentypus ε and χ be a primitive Dirichlet character. Then, we consider the twist of f by χ and its Dirichlet L-series denoted by L(f, s, χ).

On quasi-primitive characters of solvable groups

open access: yes, 2019
Let [Formula: see text] be a quasi-primitive character with odd degree, and suppose that [Formula: see text] is a [Formula: see text]-solvable group.

Thermally Pre‐Formed Reconfigurable Resistive Random‐Access Memory Crossbar Arrays: A Dual‐Mode Platform for Robust Physically Unclonable Functions and In‐Memory Computing

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A reconfigurable RRAM platform utilizing thermally pre‐formed filaments (TPFs) is developed to realize robust hardware security. By exploiting the thermodynamic stochasticity of TPFs, exceptionally reliable physically unclonable functions (PUFs) are achieved.

General trends of chromosomal evolution in Aphidococca (Insecta, Homoptera, Aphidinea + Coccinea)

open access: yesComparative Cytogenetics, 2015
Parallel trends of chromosomal evolution in Aphidococca are discussed, based on the catalogue of chromosomal numbers and genetic systems of scale insects by Gavrilov (2007) and the new catalogue for aphids provided in the present paper.
