Recognition of printed Telugu characters
A two-stage recognition system for the recognition of the Telugu alphabet (with more than 2000 different characters) is presented. It is based on the observation that the Telugu characters are composed of certain primitive shapes and basic letters.

Evidence for Itinerant Ferromagnetic Flat Bands Producing Large Transverse Responses
Itinerant ferromagnetic flat bands are demonstrated in GdCo5 with a high Curie temperature of 940K, a stacked honeycomb–kagome lattice, through angle‐resolved photoemission spectroscopy and magneto‐thermoelectric measurements. These topological flat bands generate large Berry curvaturte, producing gigantic anomalous Nernst effect with record‐high ...

A new species of woodlouse (Isopoda, Oniscidea) from the Canarian laurel forest [PDF]
A new species of terrestrial isopod, Porcellio aguerensis Orihuela-Rivero, sp. nov. of the family Porcellionidae (Oniscidea), is described from the laurel forest of Tenerife, Canary Islands.

All‐Optical Reconfigurable Physical Unclonable Function for Sustainable Security
An all‐optical reconfigurable physical unclonable function (PUF) is demonstrated using plasmonic coupling–induced sintering of optically trapped gold nanoparticles, where Brownian motion serves as a robust entropy source. The resulting optical PUF exhibits high encoding density, strong resistance to modeling attacks, and practical authentication ...

Unitary matrix integrals, primitive factorizations, and JucysMurphy elements
. A factorization of a permutation into transpositions is called "primitive" if its factors are weakly ordered. We discuss the problem of enumerating primitive factorizations of permutations, and its place in the hierarchy of previously studied

Nonsolvable groups with few primitive character degrees
We study the finite nonsolvable groups in which all nonlinear primitive (or nonmonomial) characters are of the same degree, or of square-free, prime power, or odd degree.

The perspective presents an integrated view of neuromorphic technologies, from device physics to real‐time applicability, while highlighting the necessity of full‐stack co‐optimization. By outlining practical hardware‐level strategies to exploit device behavior and mitigate non‐idealities, it shows pathways for building efficient, scalable, and ...

A transformation formula with primitive character
We prove a transformation formula for the exponential sum involving the divisor function, and primitive character modulo q. This formula can be applied to obtain meromorphic continuation for the Mellin transform of the square of Dirichlet L-function with primitive character.

Explicit Upper Bounds for |L(1,χ)| for Primitive Even Dirichlet Characters
this paper is to provide the reader with better values for these constants r for even characters. It must be pointed out that neither of the two methods we develop here for improving upon these constants r 's apply to odd characters (see [Lou3 ...
