Dietary L‐Tyrosine Sustains Egg Production and Quality by Modulating Promoter CpG Methylation, Gene Expression, and Hormone Profiles in Reproductive Signalling Pathways of Aged Laying Hens

open access: yesJournal of Animal Physiology and Animal Nutrition, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Managing prolactin (PRL)‐mediated reproductive suppression is critical for maintaining egg production in commercial laying hens. L‐tyrosine (TYR), a precursor of dopamine (DA), may counteract age‐related reproductive decline by suppressing PRL, thereby sustaining productivity and egg quality in late‐phase laying hens.

Subsistence hunting shapes the spatial variation of jaguar densities in community‐managed forests

open access: yesJournal of Zoology, EarlyView.
Jaguars and people can coexist in community‐managed forests, but distance matters. In Guatemala's Maya Biosphere Reserve, jaguar numbers increased markedly in areas harder to reach on foot, yet jaguars were still found near communities, showing that responsibly managed forests can support jaguar populations while allowing people to maintain traditional

Root trait dynamics of historical canola varieties under low and high nitrogen supply

open access: yesThe Plant Phenome Journal, Volume 9, Issue 1, December 2026.
Abstract Nitrogen fertilizer is a major input cost in crop production, making it crucial to enhance nitrogen use efficiency (NUE) to reduce fertilizer dependence without compromising yields. Root system architecture (RSA) is a key determinant of nutrient acquisition, particularly under nutrient‐limited conditions.

Long‐term association of physical activity with survival by primary cancer treatment in endometrial cancer: The Alberta Endometrial Cancer Cohort Study

open access: yesInternational Journal of Cancer, Volume 159, Issue 2, Page 345-358, 15 July 2026.
What's new? Accumulating evidence suggests a beneficial role of physical activity in cancer. However, it is unclear whether associations between physical activity and cancer outcomes vary by cancer treatment. Based on more than 16 years of follow‐up data from a cohort of endometrial cancer survivors, this study reveals that associations between ...
