Quality evaluation of agricultural limestones by PRNT
Agricultural limestones of various PRNT (Relative Power of Total Neutralization) values, calculated considering the relative efficiency of their granulometric fractions, were used in a comparative study. A number of 22 limestone samples were collected ; 12 from different mills from the municipalities of Rio Claro, Piracicaba and Tietê and 10 selected ...

In transplant recipients with prior Omicron infection, neutralizing antibodies against JN.1 were limited and often absent 1 year later. However, robust and durable CD4⁺ T‐cell responses were consistently observed, suggesting that cellular immunity may offer sustained protection against emerging SARS‐CoV‐2 variants, despite modest antibody responses ...

Evaluating Orthoflavivirus Vaccines with PRNT: Lessons from Yellow Fever Clinical Studies
Flaviviruses represent a major global health concern, with yellow fever virus (YFV) and dengue virus (DENV) among the most studied members of the Orthoflavivirus genus. Transmitted by Aedes mosquitoes, these viruses are responsible for severe disease outbreaks worldwide.

ABSTRACT Zika (ZIKV) and dengue (DENV) viruses are major public health concerns in Brazil. Understanding population serological status, particularly in pregnant women, is vital for estimating their spread. This study assessed ZIKV and DENV seroprevalence in pregnant women and the transplacental transfer of antibodies to their newborns, crucial for ...

Serological Evidence of Cetacean Morbillivirus Infection in Common Bottlenose Dolphins in Japan
ABSTRACT This study revealed that 41.9% of wild‐born Japanese captive dolphins (18 out of 43 dolphins) have neutralizing antibodies specific to cetacean morbillivirus (CeMV). This finding indicates a widespread yet undetected CeMV infection among wild dolphins in the waters around Japan, occurring without notable epidemic or mass mortality of dolphins.

FollowMe: A Bigraphical Approach [PDF]
In this paper we illustrate the use of modelling techniques using bigraphs to specify and refine elementary aspects of the FollowMe framework. This framework provides the seamless migration of bi-directional user interfaces for users as they navigate ...

A meta-analysis of serological response associated with yellow fever vaccination
Despite previous evidence of high level of efficacy, no synthetic metric of yellow fever (YF) vaccine efficacy is currently available. Based on the studies identified in a recent systematic review, we conducted a random-effects meta-analysis of the ...

Determination of fracture mechanics parameters on pipe ring notch tensile (prnt) specimens [PDF]
Determining the parameters of fracture mechanics is a key segment in assessment and enhancement of the safety and longevity of materials and structures, especially when they are exposed to extreme load conditions in the presence of damage. In this work, one group of such structures is considered - thin-walled pipelines, which are used in practically ...
