Risk-Optimal Arrangement of Stiffeners in Steel Plate Shear Walls With Door Opening
Placement of steel plate shear walls (SPSW) in the building cores around the elevators and stairs necessitates door-type openings in these systems. Because of large dimensions of door openings, the energy dissipation capacity drops significantly and thus,

Isocitrate dehydrogenase 1 (IDH1) mutations are highly recurrent in multiple human cancer types, including cholangiocarcinoma and glioma. IDH1 R132C is the most common IDH1 mutation in cholangiocarcinoma and likely arises from APOBEC3A‐ or APOBEC3B‐mediated deamination.

Long-term desalinated water demand and investment requirements: a case study of Riyadh
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) is situated in an arid region and faces a chronic challenge to meet its increasing water demand. Riyadh is the capital of KSA and home to about six million people. The water demand is mostly met by groundwater resources (

Guiding AlphaFold to predict how Munc13‐1 opens Syntaxin‐1
The syntaxin‐1 Habc‐domain (orange), linker (pink) and SNARE motif (yellow) form a closed conformation that binds to Munc18‐1 (violet) and is opened by the Munc13‐1 MUN domain (cyan) to form the SNARE complex that triggers neurotransmitter release.

Search and Retrieval]: Retrieval models
There have been a number of prior attempts to theoretically justify the effectiveness of the inverse document frequency (IDF). Those that take as their starting point Robertson and Spärck Jones’s probabilistic model are based on strong or complex ...

A Note for Probabilistic Model of Polymer Crystallization in Temperature Gradients
A polymer crystallization kinetics model is the most important way to characterize the crystallization rate of polymers. Because polymers are poor heat conductors, the cooling of thick-walled shapes results in temperature gradients.

NMR metabolomics revealed concentration‐dependent metabolic perturbations in HepG2 cells exposed to H2O2. Rifampicin pretreatment enhanced metabolic competence, attenuated toxin‐induced alterations and produced metabolite profiles more consistent with human liver physiology, supporting the use of CYP450‐induced HepG2 models for improved in vitro ...

The California bearing ratio (CBR) value of subgrade is the most used parameter for dimensioning flexible and rigid pavements. The test for determining the CBR value is typically conducted under soaked conditions and is costly, labour-intensive, and time-

Biophysical characterisation shows that NanX, a membrane transport protein from the major facilitator superfamily (MFS), forms both monomers and dimers after purification. AlphaFold modelling and substrate docking provide information on residues likely involved in substrate recognition for NanX and another MFS member, NanT.
