At its core, quantum mechanics is a theory developed to describe fundamental observations in the spectroscopy of solids and gases. Despite these practical roots, however, quantum theory is infamous for being highly counterintuitive, largely due to its ...

In the present work, we have identified a transcriptional signature based on the differential expression of six genes (BCL2&MAST4, HSH2D&LAT2, METRN&PITPNM2) that would facilitate the early detection of T‐cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (T‐ALL) patients prone to a poor treatment response and could be implemented at diagnosis, along with other risk ...

Aircraft Wake-Vortex Evolution in Ground Proximity: Analysis and Parameterization [PDF]
Field measurement data of 282 wake vortex pairs and respective environmental conditions acquired at Frankfurt Airport by means of lidar, Sodar/RASS, and ultrasonic anemometer are used to analyze wake vortex behavior in ground proximity. Exceptional cases

Exploring new probability density functions related to Brownian local time
This work introduces a new family of probability density functions constructed from 𝐄[𝐿𝐵(1, 𝑥)], the expectation of the Brownian local time 𝐿𝐵(1, 𝑥) at time one.

EXOSC10, an essential nuclear RNA exosome‐associated 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease, is inhibited by the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil (5‐FU), and EXOSC10 depletion increases 5‐FU sensitivity. The colon‐cancer variant EXOSC10S402T, located in a proteolysis motif, is stable and nuclear but nonfunctional in vivo.

RNA profiling of circulating extracellular vesicles (EVs) from blood samples of men undergoing prostate biopsy identifies transcripts associated with clinically significant prostate cancer. Integrative analysis with public tumor datasets links EV‐derived gene signatures to tumor stage and progression‐free survival, highlighting CASP3, XRCC2, and RIT1 ...
