Reduced measures for semilinear elliptic equations involving Dirichlet operators
We consider elliptic equations of the form (E) $-Au=f(x,u)+\mu$, where $A$ is a negative definite self-adjoint Dirichlet operator, $f$ is a function which is continuous and nonincreasing with respect to $u$ and $\mu$ is a Borel measure of finite ...

We analyze cisplatin–DNA adducts (CDAs) and double‐strand breaks (DSBs) in a cell‐cycle‐dependent manner. We find that CDAs form similarly across all cell cycle phases. DSBs arise only in S‐phase. CDAs might not directly impair DSB repair, but S‐phase DSB lesions evolve in the presence of CDAs and disrupt repair in G2, also causing radiosensitization ...

The max-plus Martin boundary [PDF]
We develop an idempotent version of probabilistic potential theory. The goal is to describe the set of max-plus harmonic functions, which give the stationary solutions of deterministic optimal control problems with additive reward.

RNA profiling of circulating extracellular vesicles (EVs) from blood samples of men undergoing prostate biopsy identifies transcripts associated with clinically significant prostate cancer. Integrative analysis with public tumor datasets links EV‐derived gene signatures to tumor stage and progression‐free survival, highlighting CASP3, XRCC2, and RIT1 ...

We investigated the toxicity of 12 active compounds commonly found in herbal weight loss supplements (WLS) using human liver and colon cell models. Epigallocatechin‐3‐gallate was the only compound showing significant toxicity. Metabolic profiling revealed protein degradation, disrupted energy and lipid metabolism suggesting that the inclusion of EGCG ...

NF90–NF45 functions as a negative regulator of methyltransferase‐like 3/14 (METTL3/14)‐mediated N6‐methyladenosine (m6A) modification on primary microRNAs (pri‐miRNAs). NF90–NF45 binds to anti‐oncogenic pri‐miRNAs and inhibits their m6A modification, thereby suppressing the biogenesis of anti‐oncogenic miRNAs.

Information-theoretic analysis of commercial microwave link and environmental variables in rainfall estimation [PDF]
Commercial microwave links (CMLs) are opportunistic rainfall sensors that provide indirect rainfall estimates from attenuation data. This is achieved by separating raindrop path attenuation from observed total loss and converting it to rainfall intensity

A regulatory axis involving APE1, AUF1, and miR‐221 is proposed. Pri‐miR‐221 is processed by DROSHA and DICER to generate mature miR‐221, which targets p27Kip1 mRNA. APE1 and AUF1 compete for pre‐miR‐221 binding. Reduced APE1/AUF1 levels impair miR‐221 biogenesis, decrease p27Kip1 mRNA degradation, and promote cell cycle progression, chemoresistance ...
