Not All Probability Density Functions Are Tomograms
This paper delves into the significance of the tomographic probability density function (pdf) representation of quantum states, shedding light on the special classes of pdfs that can be tomograms. Instead of using wave functions or density operators on Hilbert spaces, tomograms, which are the true pdfs, are used to completely describe the states of ...

ABSTRACT Background Chronic micro‐inflammation in patients with end‐stage renal disease (ESRD) is a significant driver of cardiovascular complications and diminished quality of life. While standard hemodialysis (SHD) effectively manages small‐molecule clearance, its ability to remove medium‐to‐large uremic toxins—the primary catalysts of systemic ...

Shaking Table Test-Based Verification of PDEM for Random Seismic Response of Anchored Rock Slopes
This study systematically verified the applicability and accuracy of the Probability Density Evolution Method (PDEM) in the probabilistic modeling of the dynamic response of anchored rock slopes under random seismic action through large-scale shaking ...

For a continuous random variable in real number field, there must be a distribution and also a probability density function of this random variable. If there is a known function with this random variable as independent variable, its image is a smooth or ...

A mathematical Weibull model altered neuroendocrine control of GH secretion in normal women of advanced reproductive age [PDF]
An extreme value distribution, the Weibull distribution is frequently used to model reliability, wind speed, survival, and other data. One of the main reasons for this is its flexibility.

Some probability density functions and their characteristic functions [PDF]
This paper presents, without derivation, several generalized density functions together with their characteristic functions. The densities are expressed variously in terms of special functions such as:

Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.

Nonparametric Probability Density Function Estimation Using the Padé Approximation
Estimating the Probability Density Function (PDF) of observed data is crucial as a problem in its own right, and also for diverse engineering applications.

Simulated Annealing with Gaussian Probability Density Function for Transmission Expansion Planning
Simulated Annealing (SA) is a powerful tool for optimization problems that have several local optima. This tool has the ability to escape from a local optima accepting relatively bad solutions for a period and searching for good solutions in your ...
