Simulated Annealing with Gaussian Probability Density Function for Transmission Expansion Planning
Simulated Annealing (SA) is a powerful tool for optimization problems that have several local optima. This tool has the ability to escape from a local optima accepting relatively bad solutions for a period and searching for good solutions in your ...

The Wigner function associated to the Rogers-Szego polynomials
We show here that besides the well known Hermite polynomials, the q-deformed harmonic oscillator algebra admits another function space associated to a particular family of q-polynomials, namely the Rogers-Szego polynomials.

LDAcoop: Integrating non‐linear population dynamics into the analysis of clonogenic growth in vitro
Limiting dilution assays (LDAs) quantify clonogenic growth by seeding serial dilutions of cells and scoring wells for colony formation. The fraction of negative wells is plotted against cells seeded and analyzed using the non‐linear modeling of LDAcoop.

Shaking Table Test-Based Verification of PDEM for Random Seismic Response of Anchored Rock Slopes
This study systematically verified the applicability and accuracy of the Probability Density Evolution Method (PDEM) in the probabilistic modeling of the dynamic response of anchored rock slopes under random seismic action through large-scale shaking ...

Unwrapped Phase Estimation via Normalized Probability Density Function for Multibaseline InSAR
Interferometric synthetic aperture radar (InSAR) is a powerful technique for obtaining terrain information based on the interferometric phase. Multibaseline (MB) InSAR is an extension of the conventional InSAR and is used to improve the estimation ...

Analysis of chaotic motion and its shape dependence in a generalized piecewise linear map
We analyse the chaotic motion and its shape dependence in a piecewise linear map using Fujisaka's characteristic function method. The map is a generalization of the one introduced by R. Artuso.

Plecstatin inhibits hepatocellular carcinoma tumorigenesis and invasion through cytolinker plectin
The ruthenium‐based metallodrug plecstatin exerts its anticancer effect in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) primarily through selective targeting of plectin. By disrupting plectin‐mediated cytoskeletal organization, plecstatin inhibits anchorage‐dependent growth, cell polarization, and tumor cell dissemination.

Limiting distributions of continuous-time random walks with superheavy-tailed waiting times
We study the long-time behavior of the scaled walker (particle) position associated with decoupled continuous-time random walk which is characterized by superheavy-tailed distribution of waiting times and asymmetric heavy-tailed distribution of jump ...
