Spectroscopy for Process Analytical Technology (PAT)
2010Spectroscopic sensors play a key role in process analytical technology. Such sensors can be interfaced to almost any type of manufacturing process, and by rapid, precise, and nondestructive spectroscopic analysis, it is possible to predict analyte concentration, quantify physical parameters, or fingerprint process streams and raw materials.

Metallurgical Process Technology and Chemical Process Analytics
1999This chapter should be preceded by a poet’s epigram, being characteristic and still valid today (Friedrich von Logau, 1654): Das Eisen dunkt mich Iron, I do think Ist weit mehr als Gold zu preisen; Is to be praised far more than gold; Ohn’ Eisen kommt nicht Gold Without iron comes not gold, Gold bleibt auch nicht ohn’ Eisen.

Crystallisation Control by Process Analytical Technology
2017This chapter addresses the basics of Process Analytics Technology (PAT) for crystallisation monitoring and offers examples of the different instrumentation with particular focus on Attenuated Total Reflectance Ultraviolet and Visible spectroscopy (ATR-UVvis), which is one of the main PAT techniques for crystallisation monitoring and control.
