Review of Processing Maps and Development of Qualitative Processing Maps

Materials Today: Proceedings, 2017
Abstract Significant investigations in the area of theory of processing maps for hot working of different materials are reviewed. Special attention is focused on Dynamic Material Model, Power Dissipation Maps, Instability Maps, Hot Deformation Mechanisms, which are generally believed to be the dominant factors for determining processing maps at ...

A Mapping Strategy for Parallel Processing

IEEE Transactions on Computers, 1987
This paper presents a mapping strategy for parallel processing using an accurate characterization of the communication overhead. A set of objective functions is formulated to evaluate the optimality of mapping a problem graph onto a system graph. One of them is especially suitable for real-time applications of parallel processing.

Anatomy of a process mapping workshop

Business Process Management Journal, 1999
Many tools are in use for representing and analyzing business processes, but little information is available on how these tools are used in practice by process design teams. This paper analyzes one process mapping workshop in detail. Over three days, two facilitators and five representatives of the organization and business functions redesigned the ...

Structure Mapping in the Comparison Process

The American Journal of Psychology, 2000
Carrying out similarity and analogy comparisons can be modeled as the alignment and mapping of structured representations. In this article we focus on three aspects of comparison that are central in structure-mapping theory. All three are controversial. First, comparison involves structured representations. Second, the comparison process is driven by a
