Processor-in-the-Loop Simulation of an Interleaved Buck Converter With MATLAB/Simulink

2021 13th International Conference on Electronics, Computers and Artificial Intelligence (ECAI), 2021
In this study, a processor-in-the-loop (PIL) simulation of the four-channel interleaved buck converter is presented. According to the rapid prototype concept, the power model of the system was created by Simscape blocks, which includes power electronics components, in the MATLAB/Simulink environment.

Parallel processor balance through loop spreading

Proceedings of the 1989 ACM/IEEE conference on Supercomputing - Supercomputing '89, 1989
When the number of processors P is less than the number of tasks N in a parallel loop, the loop has to be executed in ⌈N/P⌉ rounds and the last round executes only (N mod P) tasks. In many cases, in the last round all but a few processors are idle, which causes a significant drop in performance.

Processor allocation and loop scheduling on multiprocessor computers

Proceedings of the 6th international conference on Supercomputing - ICS '92, 1992
This paper is concerned with the automatic exploitation of the parallelism detected in a sequential program. The target machine is a shared memory multiprocessor. The main goal is minimizing the completion time of the program. To achieve this, one has first to distribute the code over the processors, then to schedule the parts of the code in order to ...

A Real-Time Simulator for Processor-In-the-Loop Simulation of Small Satellites

2018 International Conference on Control, Automation and Information Sciences (ICCAIS), 2018
This paper presents a real-time simulator environment for hardware-in-the-Ioop simulation for small satellites. Based on mathematical orbit model and attitude dynamics model running in real-time, the simulator virtually enables simulating various mission scenarios for small satellites reflecting realistic orbit conditions in conjunction with the high ...

Using processor affinity in loop scheduling on shared-memory multiprocessors

IEEE Transactions on Parallel and Distributed Systems, 1994
Loops are the single largest source of parallelism in many applications. One way to exploit this parallelism is to execute loop iterations in parallel on different processors. Previous approaches to loop scheduling attempted to achieve the minimum completion time by distributing the workload as evenly as possible while minimizing the number of ...

Processor-in-the-loop demonstration of coordination control algorithms for distributed spacecraft

The 2010 IEEE International Conference on Information and Automation, 2010
A real-time testing system for the realistic demonstration of the Guidance, Navigation and Control (GNC) system for the distributed spacecraft in Low Earth orbit (LEO) is presented in this paper. The developed processor-in-the-loop simulation system has led to the full testing and validation of the GNC flight code to be ported to a VxWorks environment ...

Implementing a Processor-in-the-loop with a Universal Controller in the Virtual Test Bed

2007 IEEE Power Electronics Specialists Conference, 2007
As digital processor technology has rapidly developed, researchers have proposed various methodologies to design, develop, implement, and test digital control systems. A testing procedure, called processor-in-the-loop (PIL), allows designers to verify the actual control software running in a dedicated processor which controls a virtual prototype of a ...
