Degradation of azo dye Procion Red MX-5B by photocatalytic oxidation

Chemosphere, 2002
The photocatalytic oxidation (PCO) of a monoazo dye Procion Red MX-5B under various physico-chemical conditions was investigated. Degradation of the dye by PCO was enhanced by augmentation in UV intensity, titanium dioxide and hydrogen peroxide concentrations but was inhibited by increase in initial dye concentration. The PCO process was affected by pH

Procion Brilliant Orange, A Counters Iain for Decalcified Sections Vitally Labeled with Procion Brilliant Red H-8 Bs

Stain Technology, 1977
Procion brilliant red H-8 BS is a fluorescent dye that stains the organic matrix of bone supravitally. A procedure is described for counterstaining sections of such bone for visible light examination without interfering with the demonstration of sites of bound dye under UV illumination.

Vital staining with Procion Brilliant Red H8-BS in endodontic research

Journal of Endodontics, 1979
One of the major concerns in endodontic research is the detailed determination of responses of pulpal tissues, particularly the response of the odontoblast to different experimental procedures. Traditional histological processing and examination often fail to provide an adequate indication of the changes in odontoblastic function.

Affinity chromatography of acyl-CoA utilizing enzymes on Procion Red-agarose

Biochemical and Biophysical Research Communications, 1983
The dye Procion Red HE3B immobilized on agarose and available as Matrex Gel Red A is shown to bind citrate synthase and succinate thiokinase from a number of diverse organisms. Salt-gradient elution removes the enzymes in high yields and with substantial purification.

Ozonation of reactive dye, Procion red MX-5B catalyzed by metal ions

Journal of Hazardous Materials, 2009
Ozonation of aqueous solution of Procion red MX-5B, a commercial azo reactive dye was investigated. The effect of various experimental variables on decolorization and degradation of the dye has been studied. Color removal was faster than organic removal.

Differential pulse polarographic determination of clotrimazole after derivatization with Procion Red HE-3B

Journal of Pharmaceutical and Biomedical Analysis, 2002
Clotrimazole was shown to react at room temperature in Britton Robinson buffer pH 2 with the reactive dye Procion Red HE-3B. The product exhibited a differential pulse polarographic peak at -0.38 V, which was well separated from the peaks of the reactive dye at -0.08, -0.80 and -0.95 V, and this allowed the indirect determination of clotrimazole in the

Bioremediation of Textile Dye Procion Red Yellow by Using Pseudomonas fluorescens

Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, India Section B: Biological Sciences, 2019
Dyes primarily present in effluents from textile industries are recalcitrant organic molecules with a complex aromatic structure, which are considered difficult to eliminate, degrade and detoxify biologically. In the current study, Pseudomonas fluorescens was used to degrade Procion Red Yellow. The bacterium P.

Immunochemical quantification of Procion Red HE-3B used as ligand in affinity chromatography

Journal of Biochemical and Biophysical Methods, 1992
The quantification of Procion Red HE-3B used as a ligand in affinity chromatography for proteins is reported. It's based on an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay using antibodies against the dye. Polyclonal antibodies were classically prepared after conjugation of the dye on KLH and injection into rabbits.

Inactivation of wheat-germ aspartate transcarbamoylase by the triazinyl dye, Procion Red HE3B

Biochimica et Biophysica Acta (BBA) - Protein Structure and Molecular Enzymology, 1992
Aspartate transcarbamoylase from wheat germ is irreversibly inactivated by the triazinyl dye Procion Red HE3B. Since triazinyl dyes may mimic nucleotides, and UMP is a known allosteric modifier of this enzyme, the reaction was studied to elucidate whether the dye is an 'affinity label' for the enzyme. The reaction is apparently first order in the first
