Adsorption of procion red and congo red dyes using microalgae Spirulina sp [PDF]

open access: yesScience and Technology Indonesia, 2017
Adsorption of procion red and congo red dyes using microalgae Spirulina sp was conducted. Spirulina sp was obtained by cultivation and production in laboratory scale. Spirulina sp was used as adsorbent for adsorption of dyes. Adsorption process was studied by kinetic and thermodynamic in order to know the adsorption phenomena.

Adsorption of procion red using layer double hydroxide Mg/Al [PDF]

open access: yesScience and Technology Indonesia, 2017
Layer double hydroxide Mg/Al was synthesized by inorganic synthetic method. Material was characterized using FTIR and XRD analyses and used as adsorbent of procion red dye in aqueous medium.  Factors that affect the adsorption process are adsorption time as the kinetic parameter; and the temperature and concentration of procion red as the thermodynamic

Removal of Congo Red and Procion Red Using Zn/Fe Pillared Bentonite

open access: yesIOP Conference Series: Earth and Environmental Science, 2021
Abstract The process of pillarization of metal oxide Zn/Fe compounds in bentonite has been carried out. The study of adsorbent weight, pH, adsorption time, and initial concentration were investigated to get the optimum reduction of Congo red and Procion red concentration. In addition, the pseudo kinetic also determined to investigate the

Recent Advances in Efficient Photocatalytic Degradation Approaches for Azo Dyes

open access: yesJournal of Chemistry, Volume 2023, Issue 1, 2023., 2023
In recent decades, the textile industry has contributed to continuous pollution in the environment. Synthetic dyes which are commonly found in waste water are azo, sulfur, anthraquinone, triphenylmethyl, indigoid, and phthalocyanine derivatives. These pollutants block the light penetration in water bodies and prevent photosynthesis activity, thereby ...
