How companies embed non-quantifiable product qualities through their product development process [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
Many consumer products have reached a high level of technical product quality. Rapid adoption of new technologies and access to a global market means that markets are getting saturated.

The human gut microbiome across the life course

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Despite significant individual variation and continuous change throughout life, the human gut microbiome follows some life stage‐specific trends. This article provides a brief overview of how gut microbiome composition shifts across different phases of life. Created in BioRender. Özkurt, E. (2026) https://BioRender.com/8q4nrnc.

Is the Linear Modeling Technique Good Enough for Optimal Form Design? A Comparison of Quantitative Analysis Models

open access: yesThe Scientific World Journal, 2012
How to design highly reputable and hot-selling products is an essential issue in product design. Whether consumers choose a product depends largely on their perception of the product image.

Integrated information model for managing the product introduction process [PDF]

open access: yes
The thesis proposes an integrated product introduction (PI) information model for managing the product introduction process in an efficient manner. Through the process of product introduction, ideas and needs are converted to the information from which ...

Degradation mechanism of the von Willebrand factor A2 domain by nattokinase

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Nattokinase, a natto‐derived protease, exhibits potent antithrombotic effects. This study demonstrates that nattokinase directly cleaves the von Willebrand factor (vWF) A2 domain in vitro. Unlike the native regulator ADAMTS13, nattokinase degrades folded vWF independently of shear stress.

Coordinating Changes in M-Form and U-Form Organizations [PDF]

open access: yes
We model the coordination of specialized tasks inside an organization as "attribute matching." Using this method, we compare organizational forms (U-form and M-form) in coordinating changes.

Products of linear forms and Tutte polynomials

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Combinatorics, 2010
Let Δbe a finite sequence of n vectors from a vector space over any field. We consider the subspace of \operatorname{Sym}(V) spanned by \prod_{v \in S} v, where S is a subsequence of Δ. A result of Orlik and Terao provides a doubly indexed direct sum of this space. The main theorem is that the resulting Hilbert series is the Tutte polynomial evaluation

Modulation of Homer1 EVH1 domain internal dynamics by putative autism‐associated mutations

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The putative autism‐associated M65I and S97L variants of the EVH1 domain of the postsynaptic scaffold protein Homer1 do not exhibit substantial changes in their overall structure or partner binding. Both of them, but especially the M65I variant, show altered internal dynamics relative to the wild‐type domain on the μs‐ms timescale, indicated by the ...

Product-semantics based form design of active wearable upper-limb exoskeletons

open access: yesManufacturing Review
With the development of wearable exoskeletons, people's demand for wearable exoskeletons is no longer limited to functionality alone. The aesthetics and symbolic meanings of wearable exoskeletons have also become a focus of attention.
