Relational Symplectic Groupoid Quantization for Constant Poisson Structures [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
As a detailed application of the BV-BFV formalism for the quantization of field theories on manifolds with boundary, this note describes a quantization of the relational symplectic groupoid for a constant Poisson structure. The presence of mixed boundary

Diffusion Product Quantization

open access: yes
In this work, we explore the quantization of diffusion models in extreme compression regimes to reduce model size while maintaining performance. We begin by investigating classical vector quantization but find that diffusion models are particularly susceptible to quantization error, with the codebook size limiting generation quality.

Opportunities of Semiconducting Oxide Nanostructures as Advanced Luminescent Materials in Photonics

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
The review discusses the challenges of wide and ultrawide bandgap semiconducting oxides as a suitable material platform for photonics. They offer great versatility in terms of tuning microstructure, native defects, doping, anisotropy, and micro‐ and nano‐structuring. The review focuses on their light emission, light‐confinement in optical cavities, and

Three Natural Generalizations of Fedosov Quantization

open access: yesSymmetry, Integrability and Geometry: Methods and Applications, 2009
Fedosov's simple geometrical construction for deformation quantization of symplectic manifolds is generalized in three ways without introducing new variables: (1) The base manifold is allowed to be a supermanifold.

Segmentation-free Word Spotting for Handwritten Arabic Documents

open access: yesInternational Journal of Interactive Multimedia and Artificial Intelligence, 2016
In this paper we present an unsupervised segmentation-free method for spotting and searching query, especially, for images documents in handwritten Arabic, for this, Histograms of Oriented Gradients (HOGs) are used as the feature vectors to represent the

Proper BRST quantization of relativistic particles

open access: yes, 1993
Recently derived general formal solutions of a BRST quantization on inner product spaces of irreducible Lie group gauge theories are applied to trivial models and relativistic particle models for particles with spin 0, 1/2 and 1.

Universal Conductance Fluctuations in Quantum Anomalous Hall Insulators

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Universal conductance fluctuations are observed in mesoscopic quantum anomalous Hall insulators. Two distinct fluctuation patterns are identified, arising from different interference processes of bulk and chiral edge states, respectively. These findings unveil rich quantum interference phenomena in quantum anomalous Hall insulators and provide insights

Field theories on ρ-deformed Minkowski space-time

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2023
We study one-loop perturbative properties of scalar field theories on the ρ-Minkowski space. The corresponding star-product, together with the involution are characterized from a combination of Weyl quantization and defining properties of the convolution

Toeplitz Quantization without Measure or Inner Product

open access: yes, 2013
This note is a follow-up to a recent paper by the author. Most of that theory is now realized in a new setting where the vector space of symbols is not necessarily an algebra nor is it equipped with an inner product, although it does have a conjugation ...

On Correspondence of BRST-BFV, Dirac and Refined Algebraic Quantizations of Constrained Systems [PDF]

open access: yes, 2001
Correspondence between BRST-BFV, Dirac and refined algebraic (group averaging, projection operator) approaches to quantize constrained systems is analyzed. For the closed-algebra case, it is shown that the component of the BFV wave function with maximal (
