Sex Expression and Seed Yield Stability in Thai Hemp (Cannabis sativa L.): Seasonal Effects on Dioecious Cultivars for Optimized Seed Production

open access: yesInternational Journal of Plant Biology
This study investigates the environmental regulation of sex expression and seed yield stability in four Thai dioecious hemp (Cannabis sativa L.) cultivars (RPF1, RPF2, RPF3, and RPF4) under different seasonal conditions to optimize seed production.

Class IIa HDACs forced degradation allows resensitization of oxaliplatin‐resistant FBXW7‐mutated colorectal cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
HDAC4 is degraded by the E3 ligase FBXW7. In colorectal cancer, FBXW7 mutations prevent HDAC4 degradation, leading to oxaliplatin resistance. Forced degradation of HDAC4 using a PROTAC compound restores drug sensitivity by resetting the super‐enhancer landscape, reprogramming the epigenetic state of FBXW7‐mutated cells to resemble oxaliplatin ...

Molecular characterisation of human penile carcinoma and generation of paired epithelial primary cell lines

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Generation of two normal and tumour (cancerous) paired human cell lines using an established tissue culture technique and their characterisation is described. Cell lines were characterised at cellular, protein, chromosome and gene expression levels and for HPV status.

Optimizing Ethephon Concentrations for Male Plant Feminization and Enhanced Seed Yield in Dioecious Thai Hemp (Cannabis sativa L. cv. RPF3)

open access: yesInternational Journal of Plant Biology
Dioecious hemp cultivation faces significant productivity challenges, as approximately 50% of plants (males) produce no seeds whatsoever, functioning exclusively as pollen donors, creating substantial resource inefficiency in commercial production.

Cis‐regulatory and long noncoding RNA alterations in breast cancer – current insights, biomarker utility, and the critical need for functional validation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The noncoding region of the genome plays a key role in regulating gene expression, and mutations within these regions are capable of altering it. Researchers have identified multiple functional noncoding mutations associated with increased cancer risk in the genome of breast cancer patients.

Mosaic quadrivalent influenza vaccine single nanoparticle characterization

open access: yesScientific Reports
Recent work by our laboratory and others indicates that co-display of multiple antigens on protein-based nanoparticles may be key to induce cross-reactive antibodies that provide broad protection against disease. To reach the ultimate goal of a universal

Strength through diversity: how cancers thrive when clones cooperate

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Intratumor heterogeneity can offer direct benefits to the tumor through cooperation between different clones. In this review, Kuiken et al. discuss existing evidence for clonal cooperativity to identify overarching principles, and highlight how novel technological developments could address remaining open questions.
