WHEAT YIELD RESPONSE TO CHANGES IN PRODUCTION PRACTICES INDUCED BY PROGRAM PROVISION

open access: yes
From 1986 to 1995 the Oklahoma five-year moving average wheat grain yield declined from 32.6 to 26.7 bu./ac. This study was conducted to determine why the state average wheat yield declined.

Annual report 2017: CGIAR Research Program on Livestock

open access: yes, 2018
The CGIAR Research Program on Livestock Agri-Food Systems (Livestock CRP) was launched in 2017. The Livestock CRP continues a number of the key lines of research initiated under the first phase Livestock & Fish CRP, but with major changes overall in ...

Connecting Sustainability and Agricultural Strategy With Digital Twin Technology: Sustainable Agriculture Digital Twin Framework

open access: yesIEEE Access
The agricultural sector faces an escalating strategic challenge: reconciling the imperative to increase food production with the need to mitigate environmental impacts amid accelerating climate change. Although Digital Twin (DT) technology is a promising

Network divergence analysis identifies adaptive gene modules and two orthogonal vulnerability axes in pancreatic cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.

Assessing Participation in the Milk Income Loss Contract Program and its Impact on Milk Production

open access: yes
The MILC program, a counter-cyclical income support program, was designed to provide price support to dairy farmers. Since the inception of the MILC program it has been argued that the program is inefficient and rewards inefficiency by keeping high cost,

Multi-attribute monitoring (MAM) methodology for glycosylated subunit vaccines

open access: yesScientific Reports
Many protein-based vaccines comprise viral surface proteins which are chosen for their ability to stimulate the immune system. These vaccine molecules are often heavily glycosylated, and glycosylation plays critical roles in the immunological and ...

EDNRB‐dependent endothelin signaling reduces proliferation and promotes proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition in gliomas

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Glioma cells mainly express the endothelin receptor EDNRB, while EDNRA is restricted to a perivascular tumor subpopulation. Endothelin signaling reduces glioma cell proliferation while promoting migration and a proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition associated with poor prognosis. This pathway activates Ca2+, K+, ERK, and STAT3 signalings and is regulated

IMPDH inhibition enhances cytarabine efficacy in SAMHD1‐expressing leukaemia cells via guanine nucleotide depletion

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Cytarabine is a key therapy for acute myeloid leukaemia (AML), but its efficacy is limited by the dNTPase SAMHD1, which hydrolyses its active metabolite. Screening nucleotide biosynthesis inhibitors revealed that IMPDH inhibitors selectively sensitise SAMHD1‐proficient AML cells to cytarabine.

Hippo pathway at the crossroads of stemness and therapeutic resistance in breast cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dysregulation of the Hippo pathway drives nuclear accumulation of YAP/TAZ, activating stemness‐related transcriptional programs that sustain breast cancer stemness and fuel therapeutic resistance across subtypes, underscoring Hippo signaling as a targetable vulnerability. Figure created and edited with BioRender.com.
