Dry Bean Planting Date Trial [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Dry beans (Phaseolus vulgaris), a high-protein pulse crop, have been grown in the Northeast since the 1800’s. As the local food movement expands, consumers have requested stores offer more locallyproduced foods, and dry beans are no exception.

Network divergence analysis identifies adaptive gene modules and two orthogonal vulnerability axes in pancreatic cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.

EDNRB‐dependent endothelin signaling reduces proliferation and promotes proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition in gliomas

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Glioma cells mainly express the endothelin receptor EDNRB, while EDNRA is restricted to a perivascular tumor subpopulation. Endothelin signaling reduces glioma cell proliferation while promoting migration and a proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition associated with poor prognosis. This pathway activates Ca2+, K+, ERK, and STAT3 signalings and is regulated

Multi-attribute monitoring (MAM) methodology for glycosylated subunit vaccines

open access: yesScientific Reports
Many protein-based vaccines comprise viral surface proteins which are chosen for their ability to stimulate the immune system. These vaccine molecules are often heavily glycosylated, and glycosylation plays critical roles in the immunological and ...

Projet: Jet Cross Sections in Deeply Inelastic Electron Proton Scattering (VERSION 4.1)

open access: yes, 1994
PROJET is a parton level Monte Carlo program for the calculation of jet cross sections in deeply inelastic electron proton scattering. In its present version it contains the Born level diagrams for the production of (1+1), (2+1) and (3+1) jets and the ...

IMPDH inhibition enhances cytarabine efficacy in SAMHD1‐expressing leukaemia cells via guanine nucleotide depletion

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Cytarabine is a key therapy for acute myeloid leukaemia (AML), but its efficacy is limited by the dNTPase SAMHD1, which hydrolyses its active metabolite. Screening nucleotide biosynthesis inhibitors revealed that IMPDH inhibitors selectively sensitise SAMHD1‐proficient AML cells to cytarabine.

Analysis, Design and Implementation of Biodiesel Projects in Brazil [PDF]

open access: yes
During the oil crisis of the seventies, Brazil has developed a successful program for gasoline substitution by ethanol (Proálcool). Nowadays the biomass accounts for 27% of total national energy consumed in Brazil and the ethanol participates with 40% of
