Involvement of Various Selection Methods for Genetic Algorithms in Determining the Optimal Production Schedule Problem

open access: yesJOIV: International Journal on Informatics Visualization
This research investigates using genetic algorithms (GA) to optimize production scheduling in Medan's shoe industry. The study compares traditional manual and First Come First Serve (FCFS) methods against a GA approach, incorporating selection variations

Usage of clustering methods for sequence plan optimization in steel production [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
The paper deals with production scheduling of heat sequences while are steel types casted on continuous casting device. For production scheduling are used k-means clustering and fuzzy clustering methods. The parameters for cluster analysis are chemical

LINC01116, a hypoxia‐lncRNA marker of pathological lymphangiogenesis and poor prognosis in lung adenocarcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The LINC01116 long noncoding RNA is induced by hypoxia and associated with poor prognosis and high recurrence rates in two cohorts of lung adenocarcinoma patients. Here, we demonstrate that besides its expression in cancer cells, LINC01116 is markedly expressed in lymphatic endothelial cells of the tumor stroma in which it participates in hypoxia ...

Cell surface interactome analysis identifies TSPAN4 as a negative regulator of PD‐L1 in melanoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Using cell surface proximity biotinylation, we identified tetraspanin TSPAN4 within the PD‐L1 interactome of melanoma cells. TSPAN4 negatively regulates PD‐L1 expression and lateral mobility by limiting its interaction with CMTM6 and promoting PD‐L1 degradation.

PARP inhibition and pharmacological ascorbate demonstrate synergy in castration‐resistant prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pharmacologic ascorbate (vitamin C) increases ROS, disrupts cellular metabolism, and induces DNA damage in CRPC cells. These effects sensitize tumors to PARP inhibition, producing synergistic growth suppression with olaparib in vitro and significantly delayed tumor progression in vivo. Pyruvate rescue confirms ROS‐dependent activity.
