Hybrid Solar Cell/Triboelectric Nanogenerator Based on Stable Two‐Dimensional Covalent Organic Frameworks

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study highlights the integration of stable two‐dimensional covalent organic framework (COF) films as photoactive layers in hybrid nanoenergy devices. The results demonstrate their capacity to generate electricity under both sunny and rainy conditions, showcasing versatility and resilience.

Genipin‐Crosslinked, Silane‐Anchored 3D Tumor–Stroma Microtissues for High‐Content On‐Chip Drug Testing

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
We describe a microfluidic tumor‐stroma co‐culture model, engineered to resist collagen‐hydrogel contraction driven by fibroblast activity. Surface silanization with APTES covalently anchors the matrix to the chip, while Genipin crosslinking progressively increases stiffness and elasticity without harming cells. This supports >10 days of co‐culture and

Gravity and light - Gravitational lenses and black holes (PVC-R Visiting Professor Lecture Series)

open access: yes, 2008
We explore how light behaves near massive objects, and show that for gravitational lenses, gravitational redshifts and black holes, the main concepts can be understood in general terms from Einstein's oft-quoted equation, E=mc^2.

Functional Precision Oncology Approach Using Nanoliter Droplet Array for Drug Sensitivity Testing in Lung Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
A miniaturized drug sensitivity and resistance testing (DSRT) workflow based on the Droplet Microarray (DMA) platform enables functional drug testing using minimal patient‐derived tumor material. By screening nanoliter‐scale droplets containing as few as 300 cells, this approach generates reproducible and tumor‐specific drug response profiles ...

Transitions in practice: climate change and everyday life (PVC-R Visiting Professor Lecture Series)

open access: yes, 2009
In this talk I take seriously the proposition that patterns of consumption are usefully understood as outcomes of social practice, and that environmental sustainability depends upon transitions in what people take to be normal and ordinary ways of life ...

الفصام: أسبابه وعلاجه Editor of ArabiXiv assistant Professor associate Professor Professor associate Professor Professor

open access: yes

Engineering of Glioblastoma‐Derived Biomimetic Vesicles and Their Structural and Molecular Features

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Biomimetic nanosystems and vesicles have arisen as a novel approach to design vesicular transport systems with diverse therapeutic potential. The ‘biomimetic’ strategy involves the integration of cell membrane components into lipid bilayers, conferring them with biological properties originating from the cell of origin. Until now, most studies

Putting Einstein to the test (PVC-R Visiting Professor Lecture Series)

open access: yes, 2009
Neutron stars are amazing objects, with more than a solar mass of matter crammed into a ball the size of a city. Light-house-like radio beacons from many of these objects allow us to observe them as radio pulsars.

Modular Control of PEG‐Poly(2‐Oxazoline) Co‐Assembly Enables Tunable Aggregate Properties for Intraocular Pressure Management

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
A thermo‐responsive poly(2‐oxazoline)‐based injectable formulation is developed to modulate intraocular pressure (IOP) in both normal and hypotonic eyes. By adjusting the PEG content, the aggregation behavior is finely tuned, enabling IOP elevation without long‐term deposition.
