Interference Microscope-Profilometer

Optoelectronics, Instrumentation and Data Processing, 2010
The structure and functional capabilities of a digital optical microscope-profilometer capable of operating in two modes, those of micro- and nanomeasurements, are presented. The instrument operation principle is based on measuring the phase function of the wave front of light scattered by the measured surface.

Airborne 3D-profilometer

open access: yes, 1995
Measurement of dimensions of inaccessible objects remains a challenge in spite of new technologies available. The authors approached the problem with a photogrammetric method using a laser-camera combination installed in a helicopter. The method was applied to the topographic measurement of ice fields.

The Profilometer for ION Beams

2015 IEEE Pulsed Power Conference (PPC), 2015
The concept of a real-time profilometer for ion beam is considered in this paper. The profilometer hardware is based on X-Y collector electrodes and the software based on LabVIEW from National Instruments. The software algorithm allows for statistical analysis and the visualization of beam current distribution.

Observation of ground surface roughness values obtained by stylus profilometer and white light interferometer for common metal materials

Surface and Interface Analysis, 2022
To find some practical understandings and to derive some rules for roughness calibration for common metal materials, this paper counts surface roughness on 50 ground workpieces of five different materials obtained by a stylus profilometer (here‐in‐after,

Effect of aging and mechanical brushing on surface roughness of 3D printed denture resins: A profilometer and scanning electron microscopy analysis

Technology and Health Care, 2021
BACKGROUND: The use of 3D printed material in the dental field is gaining tremendous attention. However, studies related to 3D printed denture resins are scarce and need consideration before their inclusion in routine clinical practice.

Fusion of 4D Point Clouds From a 2D Profilometer and a 3D Lidar on an Excavator

IEEE Sensors Journal, 2021
The research aimed to integrate a solid-state 2D-pulsed time-of-flight (TOF) flash Lidar profilometer and a mechanically scanning 3D Lidar in order to monitor the 4D (3D + signal intensity) environment at a construction site from an excavator.

The Use of a Profilometer for Both Quantitative and Qualitative Measurements of Toothpaste Abrasivity

open access: yesInternational Journal of Dental Hygiene, 2010
Aim: To evaluate the abrasivity of different toothpastes both quantitatively and qualitatively with a profilometer technique and to correlate these findings to the radioactive dentin abrasivity (RDA) value.

Dispersive interferometric profilometer

Optics Letters, 1994
The usual automated interferometric profilometers suffer from phase-unwrapping problems. We discuss a one-dimensional method for the absolute determination of the path difference in interferometers to obtain unique surface profiles with high accuracy.

Intrasession repeatability of corneal, limbal and scleral measurements obtained with a fourier transform profilometer.

Contact lens & anterior eye : the journal of the British Contact Lens Association, 2020
PURPOSE To evaluate the intrasession repeatability of corneal, limbal and scleral measurements obtained by an experienced operator with a Fourier transform profilometer in healthy eyes.
