Molecular evidence of functional progesterone withdrawal in human myometrium

open access: yesNature Communications, 2016
Progesterone suppresses uterine contractility acting through its receptors (PRA/B). The mechanism by which human labour is initiated in the presence of elevated circulating progesterone has remained an enigma since Csapo first theorized of a functional ...

Ultrasound in Women's Health: Mechanisms, Applications, and Emerging Opportunities

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
As healthcare moves toward decentralization, ultrasound technologies are evolving from strictly imaging tools in clinical settings into versatile diagnostic and therapeutic platforms, with growing roles addressing women's health needs. This review highlights how ultrasound's underlying physical mechanisms can be harnessed to reduce disparities in women'

Long‐term prognosis is associated with residual disease after neoadjuvant systemic therapy but not with initial nodal status

open access: yesBJS (British Journal of Surgery), EarlyView., 2020
This long‐term follow‐up study determined survival rates in a Swedish national cohort of 417 patients with breast cancer who all had neoadjuvant systemic therapy (NAST). Sentinel lymph node biopsy (SLNB) was performed before NAST in clinically node‐negative and after NAST in clinically node‐positive patients.

Engineering Active Metal Oxide Interfaces on MOF‐Derived 3D Carbon Architecture for Small‐Molecule Biosensing

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
MOFs awaken graphene. MOF‐assisted ultrafast laser writing patterns porous laser‐induced graphene with CuO‐active nanodomains, creating an aptamer‐ready interface for small‐molecule capture. Coupled to an extended‐gate FET, the hybrid converts subtle biochemical binding into a clear electrical signal for resilient cortisol sensing in aqueous media ...

L'effet mâle chez les petits ruminants. Synthèse [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
La reproduction des petits ruminants en pays tempérée est saisonnée. En milieu tropical, les variations saisonnières sont plus ou moins importantes. L'effet mâle consiste à séparer le troupeau de femelles des mâles puis à réintroduire ceux-ci.
