ABSTRACT Purpose Medication use during pregnancy has increased worldwide. The aim was to investigate patterns of prescription medication use during pregnancy and postpartum in Sweden 2007–2022. Methods We conducted a population‐based drug utilization study with linked data from the Swedish Medical Birth and Prescribed Drug Registers.

We report a case of a 33‐year‐old woman who presented for evaluation of secondary subfertility and pelvic pain and was incidentally found to have concurrent umbilical and pleural endometriosis discovered incidentally on CECT chest and the patient had no respiratory symptoms.

Immediate intrauterine device placement after second‐trimester medical abortion was associated with a higher incidence of expulsion, lower use of IUD at 12 months, and lower acceptance compared with delayed placement. However, no significant increase in subsequent pregnancies or abortions was observed at the 12 month follow‐up.
