How to judge testing progress

Abstract It is usual to base the assessment of software testing progress on a coverage measure such as code coverage or specification coverage, or on the percentage of the input domain exercised. In this paper it is argued that these characteristics do not provide good indications of the degree to which the software has been tested.

Impulse testing of transformers has resulted in improvement of design and manufacturing methods. Not only should the test methods now given in American Standard C57.2 be simplified to effect a reduction in cost of tests, but the test code should be modified to give an adequate assurance of failure detection.

Progress testing was introduced in 1999 at the Charité-Universitätsmedizin Berlin. This Berlin progress test medizin (PTM) started to cooperate with other Medical Schools in 2000. The cooperation grew continuously and now 13 Medical schools in Germany and Austria take part, including more than 8500 Students.

Accelerated progression relapse test

An Accelerated Progression Relapse Test (APRT) and method is provided for use in the prognosis of a patient having an ER+ breast cancer. The APRT provides a determination of when a patient in a particular diseased state is likely to benefit from further disease treatment, or does not have a high probability of benefit with additional treatment.
