CHALLENGES AND METHODOLOGIES IN USING PROGRESSION FREE SURVIVAL AS A SURROGATE FOR OVERALL SURVIVAL IN ONCOLOGY [PDF]
Objectives:A primary outcome in oncology trials is overall survival (OS). However, to estimate OS accurately requires a sufficient number of patients to have died, which may take a long time. If an alternative end point is sufficiently highly correlated with OS, it can be used as a surrogate.

Progression and Free Progression Survival Indices in Patients with Multiple Myeloma
The main feature in multiple myeloma is osteolysis and, hence, bone turnover markers have got the at mostcare in different studies on this disease. The present paper would stress on the calculation of free progressionsurvival indices using some of these markers .Sixty-five MM (males=41, females=24) patients distributed to different hematologycenters in

Re‐Irradiation in Pediatric Diffuse Midline Glioma: A Multi‐Institutional Retrospective Study
ABSTRACT Background Children with recurrent diffuse midline gliomas (DMGs) have limited therapeutic options at recurrence. Re‐irradiation (RT2) may be used at progression, but with uncertainty about the benefit. Methods We conducted a multi‐institutional retrospective study of children aged < 18 with DMG treated at three centers (Toronto, Canada ...

ABSTRACT Objectives The association between exposure to dinutuximab beta (DB) and event‐free survival (EFS) or overall survival (OS) of neuroblastoma patients was assessed using data collected during three clinical trials (five cohorts). Methods A systematic review (March 2026) was conducted to identify relevant studies (prospective; registered DB ...

ABSTRACT Results of COG ANBL1221 changed treatment paradigms for patients with relapsed/refractory neuroblastoma. Chemoimmunotherapy with irinotecan/temozolomide/dinutuximab is now used as both bridge therapy following suboptimal response to induction and as treatment in first relapse.

Diagnostic characteristics, treatment outcomes, and prognostic factors in glucagonomas
Objective: Glucagonomas are rare islet cell tumours, accounting for 2% of such tumours, with an annual incidence of 0.01–0.1 per million. This study aimed to describe diagnostic characteristics and treatment outcomes in patients with glucagonoma from a ...

ABSTRACT Background Survival after relapse in pediatric acute myeloid leukemia (AML) remains poor, highlighting the critical importance of identifying prognostic factors to guide optimal relapse management. Methods We investigated the prognostic impact of multiparameter flow cytometry (MFC) measurable residual disease (MRD) in 188 patients with first ...

ABSTRACT Purpose Despite 5‐year survival rates of over 90% among children and adolescents/young adults (CAYAs) with classic Hodgkin lymphoma (cHL), 15%–20% relapse after frontline therapy. Prior analysis of frontline Children's Oncology Group (COG) clinical trials demonstrated that, despite similar rates of relapse, non‐Hispanic Black (NHB) and ...
