Erythromycin as a prokinetic agent in preterm neonates: a systematic review [PDF]

open access: yesArchives of Disease in Childhood - Fetal and Neonatal Edition, 2005
Background: It often takes several days or even weeks to establish full enteral feeds (FEFs) in preterm, especially extremely low birthweight neonates because of feed intolerance related to gastrointestinal hypomotility. Clinical trials of erythromycin as a prokinetic agent in preterm neonates have reported conflicting results.

GLP‐1‐Based Therapies in Type 1 Diabetes: Emerging Evidence on Cardiovascular, Renal, and Safety Outcomes

open access: yesDiabetes, Obesity and Metabolism, Volume 28, Issue 10, Page 8757-8768, October 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Individuals living with type 1 diabetes (T1D) are at increased risk for cardiovascular (CV) and renal complications, yet therapeutic strategies specifically targeting cardiorenal risk reduction in this population remain limited. The role of glucagon‐like peptide‐1 (GLP‐1)‐based therapies in T1D remains unclear.
