Progress and prospects based on Qujing incoherent scatter radar measurements

open access: yes地球与行星物理论评
Herein, the technical characteristics and programme of Qujing incoherent scatter radar (the first one in China) are described. The measurement ability in the ionosphere, space debris, and the Moon was investigated using the data.

In vitro propagation and transcriptional profiling of human mammary stem/progenitor cells.

open access: yesGenes & Development, 2003
Although the existence of mammary stem cells has been suggested by serial transplantation studies in mice, their identification has been hindered by the lack of specific surface markers, and by the absence of suitable in vitro assays for testing stem ...

Patient‐specific pharmacogenomics demonstrates xCT as predictive therapeutic target in colon cancer with possible implications in tumor connectivity

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study integrates transcriptomic profiling of matched tumor and healthy tissues from 32 colorectal cancer patients with functional validation in patient‐derived organoids, revealing dysregulated metabolic programs driven by overexpressed xCT (SLC7A11) and SLC3A2, identifying an oncogenic cystine/glutamate transporter signature linked to ...

Aggressive prostate cancer is associated with pericyte dysfunction

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumor‐produced TGF‐β drives pericyte dysfunction in prostate cancer. This dysfunction is characterized by downregulation of some canonical pericyte markers (i.e., DES, CSPG4, and ACTA2) while maintaining the expression of others (i.e., PDGFRB, NOTCH3, and RGS5).

Quantum coherence-assisted propagation of surface plasmon polaritons

open access: yes, 2013
We theoretically demonstrate coherent control over propagation of surface plasmon polaritons(SPP), at both telecommunication and visible wavelengths, on a metallic surface adjacent to quantum coherence (phaseonium) medium composed of three-level quantum ...

Detect Rumors in Microblog Posts Using Propagation Structure via Kernel Learning

open access: yesAnnual Meeting of the Association for Computational Linguistics, 2017
How fake news goes viral via social media? How does its propagation pattern differ from real stories? In this paper, we attempt to address the problem of identifying rumors, i.e., fake information, out of microblog posts based on their propagation ...

Glycosylated LGALS3BP is highly secreted by bladder cancer cells and represents a novel urinary disease biomarker

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Urinary LGALS3BP is elevated in bladder cancer patients compared to healthy controls as detected by the 1959 antibody–based ELISA. The antibody shows enhanced reactivity to the high‐mannose glycosylated variant secreted by cancer cells treated with kifunensine (KIF).

Method for Suppressing Non-Stationary Interference in the Main-Lobe Based on a Multi-Polarized Array

open access: yesSensors
To suppress non-stationary main-lobe interference, we utilized the waveform information of the transmitted signal and proposed an interference suppression method based on a multi-polarized array without the need for calculating the target parameters ...

Analysis of ionospheric parameters during Solar events and geomagnetic storms

open access: yesE3S Web of Conferences, 2016
The paper shows new methods of analysis of ionospheric and magnetic data applying the models of multicomponent constructions (MCM models) developed by the authors.

Survivin and Aurora Kinase A control cell fate decisions during mitosis

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aurora A interacts with survivin during mitosis and regulates its centromeric role. Loss of Aurora A activity mislocalises survivin, the CPC and BubR1, leading to disruption of the spindle checkpoint and triggering premature mitotic exit, which we refer to as ‘mitotic slippage’.
