Delay Propagation and Multiplier
2010In the National Airspace System (NAS), many flights are delayed daily as reported in the Air Travel Consumer Report (monthly) by the Bureau of Transportation Statistics, the U.S. Department of Transportation. An initial delay often causes another delay in a subsequent flight, or a propagated delay.

On the delay in a multiple-access system with large propagation delay
IEEE Transactions on Information Theory, 1994Summary: The effect that large propagation delay has on the problem of network access is explored for the infinite population model with success-idle- collision feedback information, where the feedback information suffers a large propagation delay \(N\).

Proceedings of the 2005 conference on Asia South Pacific design automation - ASP-DAC '05, 2005
A new fault model, named propagation delay fault model, is proposed to test the gross gate delay defects modeled at each gate terminal and the distributed delay defects in the fault propagation paths. The proposed fault model assumes that the sum of the gross gate delay defect and the distributed delay defect are large enough to cause timing violation ...

9th International Conference on Communications and Networking in China, 2014
In order to eliminate the adverse effects of long propagation delay and ensure the quality-of-service (QoS) of high-priority traffic for long propagation delay networks, a new propagation-delay-tolerate MAC (PDT-MAC) protocol with adaptive reservation is proposed.

Cyclic Interference Alignment by propagation delay
2012 50th Annual Allerton Conference on Communication, Control, and Computing (Allerton), 2012In the present paper, Interference Alignment by propagation delay is applied to a delay-based X-channel and a delay-based K- user interference channel. The key ingredient in our approach is the cyclic permutation property of the delay-based channel model that uses cyclic right-shifts in polynomials.

Delay propagation effect in transistor gates
IEEE Journal of Solid-State Circuits, 1996Wide VLSI transistors suffer additional switching delays due to signal propagation when passing through the resistive gate polysilicide. We model and evaluate this resistive effect and define an analytical expression in terms of extra propagation term. This delay can be reduced by breaking up a single wide transistor into smaller transistors connected ...

Calibration of propagation delay of flip-flops
2012 IEEE International SOC Conference, 2012Although they are a relatively small proportion of the total number of logic gates in a logic path, latches and flip-flops add significantly to the total timing path delay of many logic paths, due to the significant cell delay time they introduce. We introduce new circuitry to isolate and accurately measure propagation delays in flip-flops and other ...

Propagation delay in RLC interconnection networks
1993 IEEE International Symposium on Circuits and Systems, 2002The definition of Elmore's delay is extended to include inductance effects. The pulse delay of nonmonotonic rising node voltage in a tree-structured interconnection can be described by this new definition. The double moment matching method is presented.

Analysis of TRL circuit propagation delay
Papers and discussions presented at the December 3-5, 1958, eastern joint computer conference: Modern computers: objectives, designs, applications on XX - AIEE-ACM-IRE '58 (Eastern), 1958Synopsis: A program to design transistor-resistor logic (TRL) circuits and compile TRL propagation delay tables on a digital computer is presently underway at the Sylvania Data Processing Laboratory. This paper points to the need for such a program and describes transistor and TRL circuit studies that have resulted in the basic relationships being ...

Effect of propagation delays on ALOHA systems
Computer Networks and ISDN Systems, 1986Effect of propagation delays on the steady state behavior in ALOHA systems is investigated. The basic model of ALOHA systems with propagation delays is introduced and analyzed in line with catastrophe theory. The bifurcation set, which shows the necessary and sufficient condition that the system is either monostable or bistable, is given explicitly in ...
