Feynman propagator in curved space-time

open access: yesPhysical Review D, 1977
The Wick rotation is generalized in a covariant manner so as to apply to curved manifolds in a way that is independent of the analytic properties of the manifold. This enables us to show that various methods for defining a Feynman propagator to be found in the literature are equivalent where they are applicable. We are also able to discuss the relation

Explicit time-dependent Schrodinger propagators [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Physics A: Mathematical and General, 1986
We compute explicitly the time-dependent Schrödinger and heat propagator for the potentials \(-[\lambda^ 2m(m+1)]/\cosh^ 2\lambda x\), a \(\delta\) function potential, several cases of periodic \(\delta\) function potentials and a \(\delta\) function potential in a square well. We also discuss the semiclassical approximation for the \(\delta\) function

Enteropathogenic E. coli shows delayed attachment and host response in human jejunum organoid‐derived monolayers compared to HeLa cells

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Enteropathogenic E. coli (EPEC) infects the human intestinal epithelium, resulting in severe illness and diarrhoea. In this study, we compared the infection of cancer‐derived cell lines with human organoid‐derived models of the small intestine. We observed a delayed in attachment, inflammation and cell death on primary cells, indicating that host ...

A Parametric Study on Determining the Corrosion Initiation and Propagation Times of Reinforced Concrete Structures Using Different Methods

open access: yesBuildings
Reinforced concrete structures deteriorate over time when exposed to environmental effects throughout their service life, resulting in a loss of structural performance and ultimately a reduction in service life.

Short-time quantum propagator and Bohmian trajectories [PDF]

open access: yesPhysics Letters A, 2013
We begin by giving correct expressions for the short-time action; following the work of one of us and Makri--Miller. We use these estimates to derive a correct expression modulo modulo delta(t)sqr for the quantum propagator and we show that the quantum potential is negligible modulo delta(t)sqr for a point source.

Protein pyrophosphorylation by inositol pyrophosphates — detection, function, and regulation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Protein pyrophosphorylation is an unusual signaling mechanism that was discovered two decades ago. It can be driven by inositol pyrophosphate messengers and influences various cellular processes. Herein, we summarize the research progress and challenges of this field, covering pathways found to be regulated by this posttranslational modification as ...

Analysis of Meteorological-to-Hydrological Drought Propagation and Influencing Factors Across Arid and Humid Climate Regions in China

open access: yesAtmosphere
Drought events have become more frequent worldwide under ongoing climate change. However, how precipitation deficits evolve into runoff deficits across contrasting dry and humid climate regions, and which factors control this transition, remains ...

Time Delays in Cosmic Ray Propagation [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Sciences, Islamic Republic of Iran, 2011
Cosmic Rays (CR) travel at speeds essentially indistinguishable from the speed of light. However whilst travelling through magnetic fields, both regular and turbulent, they are delayed behind the light since they are usually charged particles and their ...

A Time-Integral Crack Propagation Model Considering Thickness Effect

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
The crack propagation mechanism of thick plates is difficult to describe accurately, and thus, it is difficult to predict the lifetimes of thick plate structural cracks in extreme construction environments.
