Degradation of Atrazine, Propazine, and Simazine by Rhodococcus Strain B-30
Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry, 1994Rhodococcus strain B-30 isolated from an agricultural soil degraded the herbicides atrazine, propazine, and simazine under aerobic conditions. Atrazine was degraded very rapidly. Almost 16 mg/L of atrazine was metabolized in 72 h, resulting in the formation of mono- and di-N-dealkylated products.

ABSTRACT The method for the determination of propazine, simazine, bromacil, hexazinone and metoxuron by zero order and derivative spectrophotometry has been worked out. In the three-component mixtures it was possible to analyse metoxuron and bromacil in the presence of simazine or propazine and hexazinone applying the first order derivative spectra ...

Cotton Cultivar Response to Propazine and Atrazine1
Agronomy Journal, 1979AbstractForty‐eight cotton (Gossypium hirsutum L.) cultivars were evaluated in field studies over a 2‐year period to determine tolerance to phytotoxic soil residue levels of propazine [2‐chloro‐4,6‐bis (isopropylamine)‐s‐triazine] and atrazine [2‐chloro‐4‐(ethylamino)‐6‐isopropylami)‐s‐triazine] present after use in rotational grain crops.

Hydrolysis of Propazine by the Surface Acidity of Organic Matter
Soil Science Society of America Journal, 1972Abstract Propazine [2‐chloro‐4, 6‐bis (isopropylamino)‐ s ‐triazine] hydrolysis in acidic aqueous soil‐free systems was pH dependent, increasing with lower pH values. At a given pH, degradation followed first‐order kinetics. At 23.5C, the relationship was log

Cotton (Gossypium hirsutum) Tolerance to Propazine Applied Pre- and Postemergence
Weed Technology, 2011Field studies were conducted in 2007 and 2008 near Lubbock and Lamesa, TX, to determine the effects of propazine alone and in combination with glyphosate applied PRE and POST on cotton growth, yield, and lint value (fiber quality). Propazine at 0.56, 0.84, and 1.12 kg ai ha−1and in combination with glyphosate at 0.86 kg ae ha−1was applied PRE, early ...

An analytical methodology for the determination of triazines in environmental samples incorporating a molecularly imprinted solid-phase extraction (MISPE) process using a propazine-imprinted polymer was developed. Two different polymers were prepared using acetonitrile or toluene as porogen, and their optimum loading, washing, and elution conditions ...

[Polarization fluoroimmunoassay of propazine in reversed micelles of aerosol OT in octane].
Bioorganicheskaia khimiia, 1997The interaction between fluorescein-labeled propazine and antibodies against this hapten was studied in the reversed micelles of Aerosol OT in n-octane by a polarization fluoroassay. The effect of the hydration degree of micelles W0 (W0=[H2O]/[Surf]), which determines their size and surfactant concentration, on the binding of the antigen with ...
