Engineering Sodium‐decorated Bifunctional Au‐Ti Sites to Boost Molecular Transfer for Propene Epoxidation with H 2 and O 2

AIChE Journal, 2022
: Regulating the microenvironment of active sites is crucial to boost the performance of direct propene epoxidation with H 2 and O 2 . Herein, the enhanced surface transfer of H 2 O 2 intermediates was first achieved by sodium-decorated Au-Ti ...

Copper as a selective catalyst for the epoxidation of propene

Journal of Catalysis, 2005
Cu/silica catalysts show promise for the epoxidation of propene by dioxygen at atmospheric pressure. Their performance is comparable to that reported by Haruta et al. in their first paper on propene epoxidation catalysis by nanoscopic Au particles supported on TiO2.

The direct epoxidation of propene by molten salts

Applied Catalysis A: General, 2000
The epoxidation of propene using molten salts has been investigated. This manner of direct propene epoxidation has been developed by Olin, claiming propene oxide selectivities of up to 65% at 15% propene conversion. A number of different molten salt mixtures were applied and several components were added in an attempt to increase selectivity.

Catalysis by Gold Nanoparticles: Epoxidation of Propene

Topics in Catalysis, 2004
Supported nano-gold catalysts have attracted rapidly growing interest due to their potential applicability to various reactions of industrial and environmental significance. In this article, we focus on the advances related to the direct vapor-phase oxidation of propene to propene oxide in the presence of molecular oxygen and hydrogen over gold ...

Epoxidation of propene by microbial cells immobilized on inorhanic supports

Biotechnology and Bioengineering, 1992
AbstractImmobilization of gas‐utilizing microorganism strains (Mycobacteria, Rhodococcus, methane‐utilizers) on inorganic supports based on alumina, silicates, and carbon was carried out to develop heterogeneous biocatalysts for the biotechnologic processes, including the process of propene epoxidation.

Effective hierarchization of TS-1 and its catalytic performance in propene epoxidation

Microporous and Mesoporous Materials, 2019
Hierarchical TS-1 zeolites have been synthesized by dry-gel conversion method employing conventional block copolymers F127 as scaffold. The proportion of the F127 added to the synthesis gel has a significant influence on the textural properties of the ...

Epoxidation of Propene with Graphite AuPd-Supported Nanoparticles

Catalysis Letters, 2014
The oxidation of propene has been studied with O2 as the terminal oxidant using a carbon-supported gold palladium catalyst at 90 °C. The reaction is carried out in acetonitrile as solvent in an autoclave. Propene oxidation is only observed in the presence of benzoyl peroxide acting as a radical initiator, but the presence of O2 is essential to observe ...
