A modified direction approach for proper efficiency of multiobjective optimization

Optimization Methods and Software, 2021
In order to generate properly efficient solutions of a general multiobjective optimization problem, a unified direction approach was introduced by Ghaznavi et al. (Optim. Methods Softw., 2019).

Generalized Proper Efficiency in Multiobjective Programming

Journal of Information and Optimization Sciences, 1991
Abstract The concept of proper efficiency, introduced by Geoffrion, is generalized to cover practical situations where Geoffrion’s definition does not apply. The generalized definition is applied to the relationship between multiobjective programming and scalarized multiobjective programming, and to the duality theory of mathematical programming.

Cones, Efficiency and Proper Efficiency — A General Setting

1994
A more general formulation of vector optimization problems than that given in Chapter 2 we obtain by taking instead of the cone R + k any convex cone K. Vector Optimization problems generalized in this way were investigated by many authors inspired by a new area open for research. Publications in this field are numerous, as witnessed eg by the surveys:

Approximate proper efficiency in vector optimization

Optimization, 2014
In recent years, some different kinds of approximate proper efficiency have been proposed by means of different tools including co-radiant set and improvement set for a vector optimization problem. In this paper, we first summarize some known concepts of approximate proper efficiency, relations among them and some corresponding linear scalarization ...

Extensions of proper efficiency in complex space

Mathematical Methods in the Applied Sciences, 2017
In this paper, we extend proper efficiency concepts for a vector optimization problem in complex space. The relationships among the concepts due to Benson, Borwein, Kuhn‐Tucker, and Geoffrion have been discussed under some convexity and constraints qualification conditions.

Proper tail recursion and space efficiency

Proceedings of the ACM SIGPLAN 1998 conference on Programming language design and implementation, 1998
The IEEE/ANSI standard for Scheme requires implementations to be properly tail recursive . This ensures that portable code can rely upon the space efficiency of continuation-passing style and other idioms. On its face, proper tail recursion concerns the efficiency of procedure calls that occur within a tail context.
