An improved definition of proper efficiency for vector maximization with respect to cones [PDF]
Recently Borwein has proposed a definition for extending Geoffrion's concept of proper efficiency to the vector maximization problem in which the domination cone S is any nontrivial, closed convex cone.

Magnetic recoverable Ag3PO4/Fe3O4/γ-Fe2O3 nanocomposite [PDF]
The use of nanomaterials in water treatment is an alternative for the development of new materials that optimize the purification process. Heterogeneous photocatalysis is used for the treatment of wastewaters contaminated with recalcitrant pollutants ...

Characterizations of Benson proper efficiency of set-valued optimization in real linear spaces
A new class of generalized convex set-valued maps termed relatively solid generalized cone-subconvexlike maps is introduced in real linear spaces not equipped with any topology.

Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.

Proper Strict Efficiency in Set Optimization with Partial Set Order Relation
This paper is devoted to the investigation of the proper strict efficient solutions to a set optimization problem with a partial set order relation. Firstly, the notion of proper strict efficient solution defined by the Minkowski difference is introduced,

An isoform of 14‐3‐3 protein regulates transbilayer lipid movement at the plasma membrane
Loss of 14‐3‐3ζ in CHO cells confers resistance to exogenous phosphatidylserine (PS) and impairs endocytosis‐independent inward flip‐flop of fluorescent PS at the plasma membrane. RNAi‐mediated knockdown reproduces this defect, while no additive effect is seen in ATP11C‐deficient cells.

Convergence and efficiency of global bases using proper orthogonal decomposition for capturing wind turbine wake aerodynamics [PDF]
Wind turbine wakes affect power production and loads but are highly turbulent and therefore complex to model. Proper orthogonal decomposition (POD) has often been applied for reduced-order models (ROMs), as POD yields an orthogonal basis optimal in terms
