On Proper Polynomial Maps of ℂ2 [PDF]
Two proper polynomial maps f 1, f 2 :ℂ2⟶ℂ2 are said to be equivalent if there exist Φ1, Φ2∈Aut(ℂ2) such that f 2=Φ2○f 1○Φ1. We investigate proper polynomial maps of topological degree d≥2 up to equivalence.

Let \(\Omega,\Omega'\subset \subset {\mathbb{C}}^ n\) be strictly pseudoconvex domains with \(C^{\infty}\) boundaries. The authors prove that if U is a neighborhood of a boundary point p of \(\Omega\) and \(f: U\cap \Omega \to \Omega'\) is holomorphic such that \(f(z_ n)\to \partial \Omega'\) whenever \(z_ n\to \partial \Omega\), then f extends to a ...

On definably proper maps [PDF]
In this paper we work in o-minimal structures with definable Skolem functions and show that a continuous definable map between Hausdorff locally definably compact definable spaces is definably proper if and only if it is proper morphism in the category of definable spaces.

On replacing proper Dehn maps with proper embeddings [PDF]
In this paper we develop algebraic and geometric conditions which imply that a given proper Dehn map can be replaced by an embedding. The embedding, whose existence is implied by our theorem, retains most of the algebraic and geometric properties required in the original proper Dehn map.

Dedicated to Andr\'e Joyal to his 80th birthday; 13 pages, 4 tables. v2 simplified Table 3 and corrected the characterization of acyclic/localic maps in the corresponding examples. v3 add more examples. v4 final version before publication, change title, update bibliography. v5 corrected Def. 2.2.1. of the published version.

Characterizations of Paracompact Map [PDF]
Paracompactness is a tool for splitting of a space. In this paper, new types of maps initiated called a paracompact map, S-paracompact mapping and β-paracompact mapping. The properties of these maps investigated.

In this paper, firstly, a new property of the cone subpreinvex set-valued map involving the generalized contingent epiderivative is obtained. As an application of this property, a sufficient optimality condition for constrained set-valued optimization ...

Soil data clustering by using K-means and fuzzy K-means algorithm
A problem of soil clustering based on the chemical characteristics of soil, and proper visual representation of the obtained results, is analysed in the paper. To that aim, K-means and fuzzy K-means algorithms are adapted for soil data clustering.
